I just visited it. Very cool. nice. But why Wiiwle? the website is great and all but Wiiwle? sounds ridiculousXDXDXDXDXDXDXD

I could have asked you all for suggestions but then someone might snatch away that wonderful name for the site. But if you can come up with a nice domain name wich is available, please do so, If I like it as well I will rename the site again.

Or maybe I simply offer another stylesheet with a different name.

*looks at the name wiiwle and barfs*

seriously you should have named it wii search or something wiiwle just sounds stupid but good job anyway

Keenzach

Wii Search was the first alternative I came up with, but the domain name had been taken already, like may others. As it seems there was a German poet who was named Wiiwle!

I tried to run an adwords campaign with Google but using the word 'Google' is not allowed. To prevent any future problems with the giant I changed the name as you might have noticed. The new name is Wiiwle, I have no idea how to pronounce it, but it's a nice mix of Wii and Google and many other names I came up with had been taken already. The wiigoogle domain names will redirect you to the new domain wich is http://www.wiiwle.com.

If you bookmarked me, you might wanna do it again coz I can't garantee the redirect will be infinite. I'll keep the domains up until I run into problems and hand them over.

Just now I had the change to check out the page on the Wii (I had been away for a week) and I think it looks absolutely stunning if I can say that myself. For the stunning effect you do need to select another stylesheet! I used the new css 3.0 opacity selector wich as I've seen now, luckily is supported by the Wii Opera Browser. I love Opera!

From now on only minor changes and regular updates of new stylesheets, new games new stylesheets, thats the idea. I hope I can keep up with this promise. Time is a luxury I do not have a lot.

I made this site at first purely for my own purpose since my eyes aren't very well. I definetly need to zoom to be able to read it. I might need it coz my tv is crappy? I'm still trying to figure out to control the font size of the search result page since i prefer it much larger. And I want Wii colors! I dont really care if it useful to you, dont use it. I made it coz I enjoy making it.

I'm not planning to do it in flash. I probably could do it but i not wanna start all over again. I'm currently busy adding different stylesheets. The en-us version has a stylesheet switcher available already. Things are changing daily now. At the moment I'm experimenting with transparency but haven't had the chance to test it out on the Wii coz I'm staying somewhere else this week. It works fine in Opera on my laptop. Does anyone know if opacity (CSS 3.0) works for the Wii?

Thx. I don't mind. It could use a little more traffic but the site isn't yet indexed by google. I do think the site has some potential to generate some traffic. Well, for now, I'm happy with the first 100 i got in a week.

No emails yet from either Google or Nintendo. If they do and want me to change something I'm more than willing to do so. If they bring it to court immediately that would really s*ck. I dont have any funds to pay a fine.

I hope it won't be a problem for Google and Nintendo. Google offers "Google Custom Search", and that's what i used to make the site. You can make your own search engine upon google's technology. I viewed some Custom Search engines recommended by Google, some of those not having any visuals towards google such as the logo. The thing that worries me is the web adres using the word google in wiigoogle. But it's not another search engine, it is using google, so i hope i get away with that.

I don't see much problems with Nintendo since I only use Wii in the sites adres, similar to wiitube and wiifanboy, those are still online. As well for the Wii colors used, there are many sites using that color blue.

In the about page on my site i pay my respect to the used google technology and praise their search engine.

If they do make problems I can probably change the name and adres and be ok? for now I'm just waiting to see what happens.

I created a Wii optimized website for searching Google. I hope this is the right forum, I would like to be added to the list with Wii websites. My site adres is http://www.wiigoogle.com I'm not done yet adding more language support but it's in the final development stage. Thx U
