5. Name brand (Playstation synonymous to gaming) i disagree, nintendo has a much longer history and is more well-known to non-gamers
6. Bluray/DVD support i really couldn't care less
7. Universal upgradeable Hard Drive meh
8. Reliable Hardware (no RROD) good point
9. Backwards compatible with older PS games not in australia!
10. Playstation Network (free service) but not as good as live/pc services

Yeah I've noticed that too. This has been the coolest summer in my memory. The past few days have been 33 - 35 degrees celcius though. I don't think it has anything to do with global warming, but the La Nina effect, opposite of El Nino.

Everyone was up in arms about the long drought being a side effect of global warming, when the drought caused by El Nino is normal, and we haven't even been recording Australia's weather for 200 years, so it could just be an abnormal drought. As for this cooler weather, it's probably just a side effect of the drought breaking, hence why we've had a lot of overcast skies and rain lately. I'd expect Summer in 2008/2009 to be scorching hot provided weather patterns return to normal throughout this year.
