@IndianaPwns39 @vivekraikkonen I get your point, but then so is every critical remark, every personal opinion. The hypocrisy is there, surely. But then to thrash the guy for having an opinion is wrong.
Just to give an example, say I listen to a music album and don't like it. I proceed to post something like "I hated the ...... album, the artist should work better". Does that mean the artist should threaten me for putting it up online? Because I'm sure the album was the said artist's passion and put a lot of effort into it.
Please excuse my ignorance and I probably missed something really obvious down the line somewhere, but wasn't Mass Effect supposed be a trilogy and ME3 the conclusion? Atleast that was how it was promoted? Hadn't the series concluded then??
And please, no spoilers about ME3. Haven't played it yet.
Why is such a backlash against a guy expressing his personal opinion? He posted it on his facebook page, didn't force anyone to agree with it.
To be honest, he's quite right even. FPS is probably the most stagnant genre in the gaming market. Leave the graphical advancements aside(in case of the CoDs, not even that!), can we honestly claim that something landmark or truly groundbreaking happened in an FPS in the last 5-7 years? Last game to bring anything new to the table was probably the original Crysis. Even that died creatively.
All the big boys are playing safe with established franchises and churning out sequel after sequel, knowing its the tried and tested that works. Does anyone really expect this Wolfenstein to have the impact the original made?
Where are the Dooms, Half-lives, Quakes or the original CoDs of this generation???
Hang on.......there will be a PC version a few months down the line after the console release; or have Rockstar specifically said that they won't do a PC version??As far as I remember, it was the same for GTA IV, a X360+PS3 version was announced initially, while it was ported, albeit in quite a shabby way, for the PC some 10 months later. And if I recall correctly, the PC version of GTA IV sold quite well too, bugs and performance issues notwithstanding.
Really EA?? How many employees and how many meetings and how much money was spent to reach that conclusion?? You could have simply asked any gamer and they'd have told you that it wasn't working.
I still remember the super-awesome Carentan stage. It was the personal favorite gaming moment of mine that year, and one of the best stages I've played in any game. Please let the release be this year. Next year's too far away.
The first one was awesome, best strategy game I have played.Good to see the sequetl, there aren't too many good strategy games around these days(Thank You, consoles!).
