you're not alone man, i'm having the same problems

I furiously disliked Dragon Age. The narrative was sub par; I had expected more having played the Mass Effect games. It seemed to have been written by an infant with Downs Syndrome. A game of that size really should have a proper story, and Dragon Age really does not. The characters are two-dimensional. They are clichéd and bring absolutely nothing new to the genre. The voice acting was horrifying as well. It seemed that they just took some random people from the street and had them read of the script. It doesn't help that the dialogue was mind numbingly dull and contrived. I would say that it was one of the worst RPG that I have had the pleasure of playing. It's flopping around in the bottom together with Fallout 3. But hey, that's just my opinion, man.

wow you just slammed the hell out of it and i have to respectfully disagree with everything you just said. The story isnt exactly groundbreaking but all and all its solid. Also the characters were great maybe not every single one but DAO has a ton of them. The ones that especially shine are the main ones of course like Morrigan, Alistar, and lilly. They all have a ton of personality. The random sidebars they have really help to define them and you never hear the same thing twice.
How could you think the voice acting was horrifying? DAO has great voice over work. ME does have a better cinematic presentation and of course the dialogue wheel but DAO is basically the same thing just not presented as well. DAO 2 fixes that though.
Really? Personally I was wincing every time someone was speaking, that's a lot wincing, man. I wasn't expecting the dialogue to be on par with Flaubert or Zola, but still it should have been much better. Well at least we can disagree in a civil manner.

Original Fallouts will always be the best. Bethesda killed Fallout 3.
