I ask this question because I was on another forum and someone told the person who posted the link to get into the beta that they could be banned from the PSN. Is this true?The_Gunslinger_

yeh tts the million dollar qn with many people now . ALL of us are still uncertain abt the outcome tt will happen to us if we gatecrash the beta honestly they cannont ban you from psn cos u can always create a new username at most they charge u in court? i dono but since warhawk beta is free i don see any legal strings which say you cannot gatecrash it? anyways do not take my words to heart and go and gategrash warhawk beta cause this is just wat i BELIEVED

Your violating everything that there is about a BETA!  Please stop, the servers are already over crowded and it isn't meant for so many people, I have a hard enough time playing games without more stupid little twits playing this game, just WAIT!  You didn't get picked!  Besides with all the server issues the game is practically UNPLAYABLE!  So please, stay away.JoeyDrey

but quality would be affected sky high

Yes, any cable that is the same form will do the trick. You can actually use a composite video cable to send digital coaxial audio as well. It is just copper wire inside anyway.BroweChisox

yes its says this but actually blu ray dics which has copyright codes ares still able to be played on a standard tv but it would only be boradcast at 480p not 720p quality shown would be obiviously be no way compared to a hd dvd

[QUOTE="p_adamson15"][QUOTE="naiera"]So I have a Panasonic plasma that accepts 'only' 720p and 1080i HD signals. Apparently no 1080p that'd just be downscaled to the 1024*768 resolution the set has. Will I be relegated to 480p for Blu-Ray movies? Right now I don't care about games. The PS3 is by far the cheapest Blu-Ray player, and if I were to get one now it'd solely be for movies.

But if I'm limited to 480p, the PS3 is out of the question for now...

No, of course not. The blue ray movies from your PS3 will be played in 720p or 1080i, which ever you fancy. Both of those formats are HD and very good. You just won't be able to watch 1080p which most tv's dont support anyway

From Sony Playstation3 Official Website Technical Specifications :

Copy-protected Blu-ray video discs can only ouput at 1080p using an HDMI cable connnected to a device that is compatible with the HDCP standard.
