I've worked at a GameStop in New York City since October of last year... Since that time I've honestly witnessed the defective return of less than 5 or 6 Playstation 3 systems... 40% is an insanely high defective rate and based on my experience and what I've heard, it HAS to be VERY wrong MonkaTG

Same here, and I too have seen very few come back defective. I also read somewhere that the chip in the 40gb is a thinner version of the Cell, making it run more efficiently. Not sure on that one, however.

Big misconception here. GameStop does not "like" to hire gamers. Most managers believe that if in the interview you say anything along the lines, that automatically means they're not qualified.

They're looking for salesman, because that's what they do. I believe there should be a balance. You can't have some guy in there that has completely devoted his life to gaming (as some have) and doesn't have any sales experience. They want stats. Reservations. Subscriptions. Their job depends on it, and they will get canned if they don't perform. Then again, if you're even somewhat in the loop about gaming today, you'll be able to talk up those stats.

Yes, it sucks to be hassled when you go in there, being offered things you don't want. Yes, they don't always know what they're talking about, and it's naive for people to think they should know absolutley everything going on in gaming right now. They have a job to do; bills to pay like everyone else.

Yup, on the PS3 you don't need to buy a play and charge kit. Save the money for the HD cables you DIDN'T get.

A 10 out of 10 won't be possible until Chuck Norris releases a game...at least if GameSpot knows what's good for them...

As long as Sony keeps that controller design, I'll never switch to PS3.

You're upset because YOU didn't make it down there earlier to reserve and now they've cutoff reservations to guarantee people who DID reserve it earlier could get one. I have one question for you, do you have any idea how many pre-orders this game has? Didn't think so.

Just because you work in a game store doesn't mean you're supposed to get it early(whether your store plays legally or not, I suppose, is a different matter), and the launch event is starting at 9:00 PM at GameStop, but not being sold until midnight.

You know that could happen anywhere, even at Wal-Mart, if the employees had the capacity to even know what Halo was.

Excuse my satire. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but please don't make foolish statements like that, it just fuels the sarcastic side of people like me.
