@Chris_Watters No offense Chris, but you missed out some pretty important features in your review :/ 4 player split screen was one of the biggest selling points of Warhawk. The fact this game has dropped it to 2 player is surely quite a big thing to mention? And like the guy says below the skills/perk system is kind of huge too. I'm not knocking your abilities, but surely some things should take priority over others.. as in the 'preparing you for online play'. What the hell. That's personal opinion being accounted to before listing the main facts of the game.
Games take time to master, and the pro's online are those guys which spent a few months on the beta. That's all there is to it. Yes things seems to work better in single player than they do in multiplayer but that's like every other game out there - humans aren't AI, we actually think for ourselves.
You shouldn't bash a game because you're not very good at it, that's just poor reviewing :S
I remember when I first played Battlefield and got absolutely trounced, by the end of the week though I was topping scoreboards. It's the same for any game.
Seems a bit harsh marking it down for these reasons if you ask me. If the game had its flaws then yes, by all means. But all I can gather from this video is Chris isn't very good at it.
I know I have an Emmett Graves profile pic, and I'm probably one of the biggest fans of Starhawk on here.. but 7.5?! Seriously?!?!
The game has merged RTS with 3rd person shooting, it offers an intense multiplayer unlike anything seen before and yet it gets 7.5?
SERIOUSLY Gamespot. Get your head of out Activision's/Microsoft's ass and actually review games properly. I swear this website gets more ridiculous as time goes on..
I played the Beta to death when it was out and it was absolutely brilliant, anything added on could only be seen as a bonus.
IGN gave it 9/10, Games Radar an 8, G4TV 4/5.
Maybe I'll actually right my own review for once..
The way the industry has fought 2nd hand games has just made matters worse.
This time 6 months ago I was planning on buying multiple games, but with the recent announcement of DLC and passcodes the list has reduced to just two.
Starhawk which I pre-ordered for £34.99 from HMV (been waiting for the game for 3 years). And Journey which I'll be downloading over the summer.
Far too many games appear to lock-out content nowadays even when paying full-price for a brand new copy. I was going to pre-order Max Payne 3 until I discovered there were several DLC packs in the pipeline..
Makes much more sense to just wait now and pick up the inevitable 'complete edition' which appears a few months later. Costs less and actually includes everything it should have originally.
Yes the price of games should be reduced - but that's only because we're no longer being sold the complete thing.
