@leeko_link I'm not saying the games on it are bad, but the actual choice offered to the average 'hardcore gamer' (apologies for using that word, not a great fan myself) isn't brilliant. Look at the biggest selling games of this gen and it's likely most of them weren't on the Wii.

I have a huge amount of respect for Nintendo, but I personally think if they spent more time trying to battle it out with Microsoft and Sony they'd actually fair better. If their consoles could play their own IP's as well as the other well known AAA games they'd make an absolute killing.

Man speaks perfect sense, sadly it's a very rare trait. Valve and Lightbox Interactive do a sterling job of providing customers with a fair service, after that though I can't actually think of any others.

Hopefully the whoring out of Call of Duty and the like will clean up the market in the long run. People are wising up to it thankfully, although BLOPS2 will likely claw people back in with it's new makeover (still essentially the same game).

I look forward to the day when DLC is an actual expansion pack again, not left out or locked content.

I'm going to stick up for EA on this one occasion.

I've played both, Battlefield and MoH. And aside from shooting they're completely different games.

MoH is more focused on the single player aspect of the game. The multiplayer consists of small maps and is just a polished up Call of Duty, every man for himself.

Battlefield however is all about the multiplayer, and they should leave it that way. Huge maps, great destruction and teamwork a necessity.

I buy both to be fair, and love them both. Unfortunately though I can no longer say that for Burnout and Need for Speed. Two titles completely ruined by EA.

@sXTdeNon Did you even play the game or are you after 'likes'? I swear down half of you folks slagging of MoH didn't even play the thing. It was brilliant. Great story, great multiplayer and tremendous graphics. A damn sight better than what Activision keep spewing out anyway.

Gaming has been dire this year, it's no wonder the industry is shrinking.

I'm not surprised Inversion didn't make it, I didn't even know the thing was released. Haven't seen a single advert anywhere :/

The Wii sold well because it was the cheapest console and offered something new with fully supported motion controls. That is all. To this day it still offers the worst choice of games.

The WiiU is going to face a long hard struggle (outside of Japan anyway).

I love Nintendo, but I think they're missing the mark entirely with this one. They should try aiming at the hardcore again and see what happens.

I'd rather not live in a world like Skryim to be honest. Spiders the size of a small car? Hell no.

I wouldn't mind to see a return of the mammoths though, what with all the species we wipe out it would be nice to be able to actually bring one back successfully :)
