[QUOTE="Heirren"]This concerns me. Does anyone else have this problem?I think it should be slimmed down a bit, and that the unit should close flushly--with a rubber band type material between both halves. I didn't want to believe it, but the "rumors" of the bottom half rubbing against the 3D screen are true. I've discovered this first hand.

Actually this is a very common problem since launch, and it's not fixed yet, maybe the $170 models have a fix but I don't know. This seems to happen to the people who brings their 3DS with them in the jeans pocket, or in a backpack filled with other stuff, the screen scratches because the upper part is lobbied against the lower one, and the rubber protectors are kinda short and cannot prevent the damage. Thankfully my 3DS upper screen is still intact, but I have to admit I never bring it with me, it's kinda bummer because it lost it's "mobility" part.

Thank you!!!! You're welcome :)[QUOTE="enrique_marrodz"]Not sure why the 3DS hasn't prompt you to update yet. When I configured my internet connection it was almost immediate the request to update. Just give it some more minutes and if you have any Wi-Fi enable game try it for a while, perhaps this way it will get registered and prompted to update Now for OoT, if you had beaten dungeon's boss, I assume you're referring to Gohma, you should continue your quest. I think you need to talk a few more people at the village before exiting to Hyrule FieldWolfetanStill not working anybody know if theres a way to scan for a system update like the PSP?

So there you have it-- some 3DSes are painted, and some aren't. From the sounds of it most of them are not painted and should not have problems, however the few that are... Well, be careful how much Street Fighter IV you play on that thing. :?TimstuffActually the paint itself is very good, I mean, it's not like my silver gamecube controller who ended faded everywhere because it was cheaply painted, the 3DS paint also have a gloss cover over the paint, so that prevents the paint to fade with the time,
Also, I think that all the 3DS's are out now are painted, if not, somebody show me a battery cover with the same color on both sides, please lol
[QUOTE="warishuku"]Emmmm hey... it's been a long time lol, well i'm bringing this thread back from the dead because I want to share something to you. Well, today I finally recieved my Nyko PowerPak+ battery, and when I took off the battery cover guess what? yeah it's painted, the inner side it's like a light gray cheap plastic, and between the 2 sides it's very clear that is painted, because I can see an irregular color along the cover. So, that's it, it's painted, mistery solved, lol. I can take pics if you want. CheersLegatoSkyheart
You saw that your D-Pad was painted? :?
No no no, I'm saying that the back cover it's painted, this because some people here said that the whole 3DS is colored plastic, and well, looks like that's not true, actually if the whole case are made similar, then, the whole case it's colored plastic (I dunno about the buttons), but hey, I'm not against the 3DS, I have one and love it, just wanted to share my experience lol.
