Didn't brink get universally panned by reviewers? Maybe this is why Nintendo passed on the multiplayer side of the game.

Anonymity and the people who hide behind it are the problem. It's not anger it's cowardice. Hiding behind a username and thinking its funny to be an a-hole toward another user or staff member. Now having said that, these people are in the minority. The majority of GS users are cool.
