I just got a gigabyte 770 4gb. It has run everything I've thrown at it at the highest settings possible. At at least 30fps never below. Depends on the game and whats going on but it usually gets more then 30 hovers around 45-60 a lot but often goes way higher. Couldn't be happier though I do still wish I had got a 780 but 700 for a GPU is a little stupid.

Hey everyone I recently purchased all the parts I would need to build my own computer. Though when I got it all together the motherboard would not boot to bios.

Build specs:

CPU-I7-3770k
Motherboard-gigabyte GA-z77x-ud3h
GPU- gigabyte gtx 770 4gb
Memory- Corsair vengence 1600hz
PowerSupply- EVGA supernova NEX750g
CPU cooler- corsair h60

The mother board shows a light on its power button when plugged in and will send some power to the fans(Not enough to fully turn) when I click it but then it stops everything gives me a error code blip that I can't really make out but it resembles a 6 or possibly a 3 if anything at all. the M and B bios flash quickly at the same time as the error code. Basically that all happens the same time I click the power on the motherboard.

I've even tried it with a single stick of ram and tried all the slots. I've literally tried everything I could think of. Even unhooking everything but the essentials and nothing happens just this weird blip of power then nothing.

Has anyone here run into this problem before? Or have had similar problems? I've literally tried everything I know and Can't figure this out. Any help on the matter would be very much appreciated. Thx in advanced.

Pc for sure. I'm sick of gamming on such closed off platforms. And I can't really say I like the direction both the new machines are taking.

So, I'm looking to build a new PC, something I've never done before. Since I don't really know what I'm doing, I figure I'd go with this except that I would switch out the Intel Core i5 3570K CPU for the Intel Core i7 4770K and switch the GeForce GTX 660 for the GTX 780, however, what I don't know is will the motherboard work with these, or will I need to opt for a greater power supply, or is it easy enough to trade those and continue the build more or less as described in the video?

Ya the motherboard has to support haswell. Go to Pcpartpicker.com it's awsome.

There is a difference in the machines though minimal. The ps4 is a faster and stronger machine as well as cheaper all around, and has the most first party developers. The xbox one has kinect. 2.0, their big main franchises plus some new ones and a strong integration with television sports and app like services. Both use the the "cloud" ps4 for streaming ps3 and possibly ps2 and 1 games. The xbox for apparently AI physics, and lighting and graphics. Both have yet to be shown doing what they have touted it is their box does. The ps4's stream tech  is more believable then what Microsoft has touted as to what their servers do but neither has shown any of it in action. So for now I doubt any of this stuff will be present when it launches or even at all.

When you look at it objectively they both basically do the exact same things. Just in a slightly different way. IT all comes down to what you want to spend and the services you enjoy more. The xbox one is more of what you like with the 360's UI and style. But the ps4 is also miles away from the simplistic ps3 UI. Depends on what you think is more appealing for the money.

If you were looking to up grade anyway me personally I would say get it. You'll get stuff like physx as well. And the card will most certainly be able to run games on highest settings possible including all the bells and wistles no problem and for a long time and for that price you can't go wrong.

This is something I have been wondering myself recently. I used to play runescape as a kid for hours same with Conquer online back when the game wasn't a purelly pay to win game. I did the wow thing for awhile too. But after wow I haven't been able to find one that seems I would like or even be able to get into.

I'm waiting for star citizen its kind of an MMORPG but it's years off and no where near done. It's sad I haven't really seen anything else interesting and I used to love MMORPGs.

i don't understand why

we even need menus in this day and age. everything on your smartphone and tablet is searchable or has shortcuts, and i mean EVERYTHING. your settings, apps, contacts, whatever. the same should be on a desktop OS. nobody should be navigating files and folders anymore, they are a relic from the past when people didn't know how to use mice and keyboards. if you know what's inside your computer you should be able to get it within seconds via a quick search. the same goes for web, too. i need the release date of a movie? "man of steel" in the search bar and it's there a second later. i'm using Omnimo with rainmeter on my pc and for those that don't know, it gives your desktop the metro UI, and i only rarely need to go into my computer for searching documents i haven't used in months because everything i need is on my desktop, or searchable. instead of "My Computer" i have a square with all my drives and the space free in each (clickable for quick acess) instead of just a shortcut to steam, i have a square that's not just a shortcut to steam, but to all the individual things within it (games, tools, downloads, etc) squares for pc readings (ram, cpu usage) and shortcuts to everything that's important. if you have a gaming pc, your pc is fast enough for all of this and a lot more. My biggest problem with metro was the jarring and unnecessary transition to the search bar. if microsoft honed their windows search bar there would be no need for either metro or the classic start menu to access apps.Kh1ndjal

I have thousands of files and documents on my computer remembering the names of all of them is not going to happen.  I organize all my files into categories and types and it is a lot easier for me to use a computer in that functionality then it is for me to have to remember all the names of absolutely every program and file I happen to have on my computer.

Like the other guy said it's preference. You may like that smart phone square/tile like look. I happen to hate it. Forcing both types of UI  on people is what has gotten microsoft into this weird spot where people either love it or hate it.
