@colt_a no, I'm not saying that it was good and I can agree that the ending was bad, but not as bad as everyone is exaggerating. I think the kid itself was retarded, but I liked the possible choices, they just needed more sense and explanation. I like that it's like a plot twist (even a pretty bad one) that you just can't simply destroy them. after all, for millions of years no one stopped the Reapers, and it would have been cliche that Shepard just easily destroys them or even makes peace with them (now that would have been a terrible ending).
@colt_a if they can successfully integrate the flawed endings in the universe, why not? then why not just correct them, instead of making completely new ones? making totally different ending is also wrong, because you can't please every fan, and therefore no story is made only for the fans, its made according to the story-writer's view. and if they didn't care at all, they wouldn't be making this thing. hell, they could have made just a plain text with an explanation, but they're wasting money and time on this. if the kid makes more sense because of the extended ending, then it should be good enough.
@WillyChong c'mmon, I was also disappointed by the ending, especially by the lack of character closure. but it's not the end of the world, and they're at least trying to correct it. knowing EA and Bioware lately, they could have made it a priced DLC or simply do nothing at all. but they didn't, and that's good enough for me, because no hurt will come by downloading it.
great, everybody bitched about the ending and they give you finally the extended ending, but people continue to whine. now many act like insulted kids by saying that it's too late and that "the damage" is undoable. well, then don't download it, sheesh. they correct their mistake, and still it's not good enough
why can't people just play what they want and get on with it? people want violent games - give them some and they will buy it. people want non-violent games - give them and they will buy it. you are free to buy the one you prefer, and it is not that hard to not give a damn about the other one.
@moonlightwolf01 the patch for now is confirmed only for the PC version of the game. and since the DLC comes out in summer, it isn't too long 'till that. so basically you can link them both.
