@xxYetterxx You may as well say "Some games aren't meant to be politically correct. Misogyny, homophobia, racism, anti-Semitism, pro-slavery...it's all good. It's GTA V!"
@shaolinwind They run about as well as StarCraft 2, Amnesia (Dark Descent), Torchlight 2, League of Legends, MechWarrior Online or Hawken would run on your consoles, my dear little troll.
There's so much raw *unused* CPU and GPU processing power and RAM speed in my TWO AND A HALF YEAR OLD gaming PC that "wasting" some on my OS, as you put it, is meaningless.
I can still run the most demanding game made *today* and get 40 frames per second- PERFECTLY acceptable -while downloading a 10 Gb file and streaming a movie all at once.
The bottom line is this; PCs have gotten so stupidly OVERpowered in the last 3-4 years that any console hoping to match them in raw processing and graphics power is going to be too expensive to market.
So you end up getting this watered down pair of already has-been consoles.
@stev69 I would almost agree with you, except that the upcoming consoles (PS4 and Xbox 720) are being built using the same hardware that goes into your average PC; same CPU for both consoles (AMD) and same graphics chip for both consoles (AMD again). These are not custom chips, they're straight up x86 and Radeon chips.
The next generation of consoles will not be advancing the technology one single bit. Not...one...bit.
Please realize; the PS4's hardware is *already* obsolete by PC standards.
This isn't some magical new chip that Sony has designed, like the PS3's Cell processor; these are generic AMD graphics chips and x86 CPUs, like we PC gamers had in our rigs...oh, 2 years ago.
Please explain how old PC hardware is going to become more powerful just because it's in a PS4?
Did I ever defend or even imply any defense of Bioware in my post? No. I don't believe in brand loyalty, it's a dumb concept. I could care less about Bioware or any cororation frankly.
But your by-the-numbers mind just couldn't help it; "He has adopted a position opposite my own, ergo he is a fanboy/Biodrone!"
Yes, I agree. I think you missed my point though; it's the *only* thing people whined about with any vigor, yet because of that, people are now claiming the game was a mess. It was not; it just had a (apparently very) anticlimactic ending.
I would *gladly* follow your advice except for the fact that I can't; I meant exactly what I wrote. People (like the guy I called a lemming) have been bashing ME3 like it's one of the worst games ever made when, truth is, the only problem people ever bring up when you talk to them is the ending.
Oh they'll mention other bugs and such, but what is the only thing you hear them talk about when they say ME3's a "broken, crappy game"? That's right; the ending.
When people follow the masses and spout the same "This game sucks" crap without thinking beyond the trendiest trend, I'll call them sheep, lemmings, etc...and if it makes you feel better I can also add automaton, zombie, or cattle if you prefer; my choice of words doesn't alter the content of my post, no matter what you may think, so put on your big boy pants and deal with it.
3- $240 divided by 12 months equals $20 per month.
4- $20 per month divided by 30 days = 66 cents per day.
Rich? Really? Where exactly do you live that you can't afford 66 cents per day to play a game? Can we please stop acting like we're all selling our bodies in order to support our extravagant gaming habits here? This is peanuts, and if you don't think it is then you shouldn't be gaming to begin with.
