Let's use 1940 as a benchmark. Anyone born after 1940 is less than 70 years old.

So, would you care to joke with my Japanese grandmother about how she had to grow up as an orphan after watching her parents die from extensive burns and radiation poisoning?

Anyone else here have any family members approaching their 70s?

Let's bring it a bit closer to home. No one here was ever held in a concentration camp.

But some of us might have been raped. Some us might know loved ones who might have been raped.

So...serious question, and I want you guys to provide a serious, honest answer. Suppose you found out that your sister just got raped yesterday. Now suppose that you mention this to a good friend, and trust him not to tell anyone about it. Then, a few days later, you and your buddies are all hanging out, and he points to you and says, "hey, let me tell you guys about how THIS guy's sister just got raped", and proceeds to joke about the whole thing.

I'm not even going to ask how you would react. I'm just gonna ask you how you THINK you would react to something like that. How you THINK you would react when you or someone you loved went through something that was horrible beyond imagination, and then for you to hear someone who has no ****ing idea what you went through talking about your personal tragedy in order to get laughs.
