The evidence between vaccines and autism was debunked more than a decade ago, but we still have huge pockets of anti-vaxxers in this country.

Trump himself, you know the leading Republican candidate, in his most recent debate insinuated the connection..

It has become obvious that Planned Parenthood is not guilty of any wrong doing but that won't stop the crusade against PP from certain corners. It doesn't matter that a large number of women are helped by Planned Parenthood, and that includes preventing unwanted births that would put more people into the welfare system, which the same people who hate PP also hate.

We really need to stop posting out this rhetoric.. It is vague or generalized and makes it sound like PP is funded by federal tax dollars to perform any abortions.. That is incorrect.. Tax dollars only fund abortions in which rape, incest, fatal fetal defect, or the woman's life is in jeopardy. With the Hydra Amendment, they are legally prohibited to use federal money to do abortions outside of those specific conditions..

Those on the religious right have taken it upon themselves to poke their noses in on other people's business. That isn't going to change any time soon.

In addition, it isn't as though PP does services only for women, it has services for men too, so apart from being a significant issue for women's health, it's an issue for allowing access to health services for anyone, especially those with low income.

Out of the shadows into the light... HYDRA HYDRA HYDRA!

@bmanva: From what I understand, the Roe decision said the viability is the point at which the child can survive outside the womb with the help of medical technology. Which would mean that as technology increases, viability gets earlier and earlier.

@KHAndAnime: Why is truth always a smear campaign? With the Left truth is either hate speech or a right wing smear. Bill Clinton just said it was Hillary's Republican opponents who smearing her over her e-mails. Planned Parenthood is an abortion factory hiding behind the guise of women's health. When the Affordable Health Care Act was passed a group of twelve Democrats were promised it would not pay for abortions. Well we can see how that turned out. I believe those twelve Democrats are no longer in congress.

From what I understand most of those Democrats who initially opposed Obamacare unless the Stupak-PItts Amendment was included, but then after months agreed to support it without the amendment (the amendment passed the House but was not included in the Senate version) in exchange for an executive order, did lose their re-election bids in 2010. Though one of them did eventually go on to become a Senator in 2012.

@pook99: From what I understand there are 4 Senate Democrats who opposed the Iran deal and voted against it. That does not sound like a lot but there are I think only 44 Democrats (and 2 Independents who caucus with them) in the Senate, so 4 Senate Dems amounts to about 9% of the Democrats in the Senate. Many of the other Democrats who eventually supported the deal did so reluctantly. And out of the 5 Democratic presidential candidates, I think Jim Webb opposes the Iran deal, which would mean that 20% of the presidential candidates on the Democratic side oppose the deal. If the deal was really a good deal, I would expect the Democrats to be unified behind it, if it was an excellent deal there would be some Republican support. But at this point, it's the Democrats that are divided by the deal, which strengthens the impression that the deal is not too good.

@AlexKidd5000:I'm not sure how an of those things you mentioned make the republicans similar to fascists or Nazis. The term fascism is overused anyway, and really should refer specifically to the ideology of Mussolini's movement. Republicans for the most part do not want war with Iran and likely wouldn't nuke Iran if war did break out. Republicans oppose the deal because they feel it would increase the chances of a war breaking out.

I have got some email from GS Staff saying I may have malware on my Android and asking me install some Android app, which I don't use an Android.

The email is genuine in the end. Something about someone using ATT to spam their network, but, they don't really have the skill to investigate the problem. So, they just think bunch of ATT users getting the malware.

And the silly staff put everyone on the To/Cc address, so, our email are all exposed to other recipients.

My network used to be ATT but ATT sold it to Frontier, so technically I'm on Frontier now. My main email address still ends in att.net, but the email address associated with this gamespot account is an aol account.

Gamespot shouldn't target all ATT users just because some spammers are using ATT.

I don't like the Assad regime, either in terms of morals or in terms of U.S. strategic interests, but on the other hand if Assad falls, ISIS and other terrorist groups would likely grab more power. Perhaps an Assad victory might be the best of the available options: certainly letting the civil war drag on doesn't seem to be good for anybody but arms dealers and mercenaries.

@lamprey263: From what I heard on tv, Russia and Israel are coordinating with each other in order to ensure that their forces don't end up accidentally clashing.

Some songs from the 90s take me back to my childhood everytime.

Yeah some of them do that.

Yes, all the time. I tend to avoid those songs though

Why do you avoid those songs? I could see songs that bring up unpleasant memories, but do you avoid songs that bring up mundane things (like what I mentioned before about walking past a table, the memory only lasted like a second, though it took a lot longer to describe it in the OP).

In order to see the results of the poll I had to vote, which broke the tie and skewed the poll to the yes side. So far it's 3 votes yes and 2 votes no.
