And this is the EXACT reason why I opted to NOT buy a Wii U. Lack of developer support. Heck you could see it in the later years of the Wii. Everytime I go into the store there were two cases filled to the max with Wii games that no one has ever heard of before and no one was buying.
Nintendo has a handful of flagship great games but honestly if you want to know the real reason their systems keep selling, its because of the loyal Nintendo fanbase that will buy their new systems regardless of what games are released. Ill admit I've owned 2 different Wii's. I kept getting sucked back in by a couple of games. But i'm not falling for it a second time. Bottom line: Nintendo is going the way of Sega.
Yeah but you are forgetting that you will need to upgrade your computer as well during those time periods. But you wont just upgrade your GPU, you will upgrade your RAM and more than likely you will want to upgrade the size of your HDD and then you need to worry about keeping your unit cool and so on. Believe me if you want to stay on top with a computer you will put a ton of money into it.
@j-shepreviews LMAO, fantastic game development? What for like 4 titles? The VAST majority of games released for the Wii were subpar craptastic motion games that even 6 year olds didn't want to play. I'll be surprised to see Nintendo get away from all that and actually deliver some truly non-gimmick games with this system (other than the marios and zeldas).
Never been a big fan of vanord after he basically jumped down my throat over a rating blunder from his "pal" mcshea whom gave the transformers war on cybertron a low score for rediculous things as well. It seems to me that terrible reviewers travel in pairs......Not going to trust a review from either of those two people ever again.
People, people, people! Its just like all the other "remakes" of same systems that Sony does. Its not that they are releasing it new features. The point is for them to save money. The newest version is going to be even cheaper to manufacture for Sony than the current slim is. They do this with every system and if you already have one it is pointless to go out and buy it.
