Nothing beats coming home from a long day at work and having your dog great you at the door - always so happy to see you, always happy you are home, same thing every day...
PC Gamer just published a review of several netbooks for PC gaming and now I want one. The winner was an Asus netbook with a nvidia 9300 graphics chipset which plays the most games.
I have no problem finishing the games I start, I do constantly pick-up new games so my to-do stack is growing larger every month, and I seriously need to quit my job to catch up....
This infuriates me, granted downloading songs (or anything pirated) is wrong but in no way does the punishment fit the crime. She downloaded 24 songs, a retail value of $24 USD. And she is now being fined under 2 Million? And she is a working-class mother of four and in no way has that kind of money. They might as well just give her 2 million years in jail.
So this mean that if I steal a book from a hardcover store, or a cheap bottle of wine, or a couple of boxes of rubbers, I am to be fined that much money? Bullsh1t!
The fact that the RIAA imposed and the jury actually gave them such a penalty exasperates me! So much so that I refuse to ever buy another album CD or itune song, and I think all consumers should do the same. I am not taking about switching to illegal downloading, I am taking about banning all music purchases until they reverse their practices and implement more realist punishments.
Stealing $24 USD should be met with more realist punishment like a week in jail or $24,000. At least she could borrow some of it...
I seriously think all legal and illegal consumers need to send the RIAA a message.
