I hooked up my Wii to my 50" Samsung 1080p DLP HDTV with component cables and set the Wii on 480p and it looks beautiful. I tried out all my games and every one of them is more clear and sharper than 480i. Also hooked up the Wii to my Sony surround sound system and it sounds great.

1. The Wii only works up to 480p, will it look good on a 1080p screen?
2. If I don't get the Wii HD cables right away, will the games look mediocre on-screen?

I can't remember my other questions, but those are the important ones. A friend of mine says that it'll look fine on a 1080p screen, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks in advance! :)
