It's true, we don't need a new system at the moment. I could wait another 5 years, but if there's a chance for major improvement after that, then yes, let's have a new system.
It happens to me. It's not so much a loss of skill, it's jsut that I forget it. It's mostly the different control schemes. I'll master one, and then move on to another. When I go back to it, I have to learn it again, but once I have it down, the skill is unleashed, and I'm back on top!
The Wii is a fun gaming console, but it only goes so far. That's why I have more than one current-gen console, so that there's always something to do. When you get bored with one, you go to the next, and when you come back to it, it's more fun.
