Heres what Ive played already and ranking in terms of my preference.

The Witcher 1/2 - loved both of these games. Really enjoyed the deepness of lore/character/mechanics as well as the plethora of choices.

Mass Effect 1/2 - very close behind the witcher for almost all the same reasons.

Dragon Age - reminded me of baldur's gate and baldur's gate is one of the best rpgs ive played. Didn't want to try dragon age 2, heard some bad things.

Fallout 3 - I liked the atmosphere + phlothera of quests but main quest was a bit disappointing.

Oblivion - Didn't like that the main quest wasn't about you the player. It was about martin.

Im interested in the game but I havent found any media that really do a good job @ a game preview. It looks very much like a generic JRPG with good graphics, and possibly a generic story?(not so sure about the story) But the combat system is traditional I think.

Whos getting the game here? Are people having good expectations for this game?

alot of people are vouching for tales of vesperia.

Im really thinking about getting that game now. But is the story good?

Its like when people talk about football in the middle of the season and they'll initiate the discussion whos the best player this season. Do you jump in and say, Oh, thats invalid because the season is not over.

Don't you think that people intuitively know that the discussion is about whats been happening so far and join in the conversation?

i guess what really bothers me, is that you'll choose to be a language nazi rather than contributing to the discussion.

Surprised by the amount saying fable 2.. i guess i was the only one who was utterly dissapointed by the game (i loved the first one even though it was so short)blackeneddeath

how so? The second one is really similar to the first. If you loved the first then transitively...

I loved the first fable also, but Im passing the second one for fallout 3.
