I haven't played both games myself but so far (based on the official Nintendo Magazine review) they gave Ridge Racer 3DS a bigger score compared to Asphalt 3D. Also, knowing Ridge Racer was developed by Konami - makes me feel a little more trusting to the franchise. Not sure who developed Asphalt though.

Looking at the screenshots and previews - I think Ridge Racer looks better and plays better as well.

I'm a bit worried that developers will rely on the 3D to sell games and make them crap, like the wii and ds.

Haha. LOL. That's true. When I first saw the Wii games when it came out - they were crap (at least for me). But then eventually, game developers were able to develop and optimize the games for the Wii. It might have just took a while since they had to test test test on what works best for the Wii's control/gameplay.

Regarding getting the Nintendo 3DS on the other hand.. I agree that the Launch games totally suck. I do think that this is going to be a big success. Considering it got sold out in Japan in 1 day. lols. I did preorder one just in case. I also bought Super Street FIghter IV 3D edition. It looks to be the only launch game that I find worth it. There's a lot of great games being developed though. Zelda Ocarina of Time, Paper Mario 3D, Kid Icarus Uprising, Mario Kart 3D, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil Revelations. Those are my favorite so far.

Here's a complete list of games coming out for the 3DS. Hopefully, they take advantage of the 3D effects and not just use it as "gimmick".

Woah. Sounds pretty cool. It would get even better if they bring in a whole lot of 3D movie libraries. But so far - Nintendo 3DS seems to be looking better and better.
