Hi all,
Since a couple of days ago, my mic has started spazzing out. Whenever I'm talking to people, they complain that it sounds like there'e inteference every few seconds. I made an audio recording and played it back, and have now realised the issue. I've done a system restore to last week (before the issues started) to no avail. Any tips?
You can download the audio test file here. It's supposed to be me counting to 20, but as you can hear something causes it to mess up in the middle.

It's about 250kb, fyi.
Any help much appreciated.
The Steam store page is looking pretty wierd for me since a couple of days ago. Like, all HTML-ised ie white background with random bits of Steam info all over the place, like it hasn't been formated.
Any solutions, anyone else getting this issue?
MeGUI video encoder.
It's a little tricky to set up, but its superior to all other encoders I've tried previously. You can set the desired file size yourself if you wish.
Auto Gordian Knot is also decent.
Project Reality has full 64 servers every night.
I have just installed Comodo Free, as I have DMZ'd my router and wanted some extra protection. I want to be secure, but if I select the firewall to automatically block 'All Executables' it disables my internet as well. If I set the firewall to automatically allow 'All Executables' everything works fine, but here's what I want to know- by choosing this setting, does that mean it will ALWAYS allow all executables? Or just the current ones on my PC?
Hey
I want to start regularly backing up the important files on my PC, duplicating or triplicating if possible (you never know).
The external I've got is totally fresh, with 500GB of free space. My regular HDD is 640GB, of which I've got about 200GB free. Out of that 400GB or so that I'm using, about 200GB is located in C: Program Files/Steam....in other words, about half of my current space is Steam games. Now, would I be correct in saying that I don't need to back up this file?
I'm just thinking that if it's all Steam games, then in the event of hard drive faliure, I could just reinstall my OS on a new PC for instance, download the Steam application again and get all my games back, without needing to have digital copies of each one?
wah...?
Never had any nade issues in BC2, the maps are too big for tubes or frags to do too much. Getting kills with them is actually pretty tricky.
As for Cod4, it's still very active.
I had a friend that was pretty inept at video games.
He;
-Didn't know you could repair weapons in Fallout 3
-Didn't know you could arm MCOM's in Bad Company 2
-Didn't know what ammo boxes, defibs or med packs were in BC2
-Never, not once, actually did one of the puzzles in RE4. I always had to do them for him xD
Hey guys
I'm in a sticky situation. I really want a new monitor, as I've had it with my 12ms, 1280x1024 17" Samsung. I want to get a 22", and I'm looing at this one. However, I only have a last-gen 4850. I'm not sure whether the full HD resolution will be too much for it. However, I am planning to upgrade my PC to something much more powerful as soon as the 6*** series comes out, so what do you guys reckon? Bite the bullet with the HD resolution, possibly over-stretching myself for a year or so, or downgrade to an older, 1680x1050 res monitor, much easier for the 4850 to handle?
