Wish me luck

This thursday, at 7:30pm, i have my first public performance of a number of one act plays. it's been a lot of work memorizing all of my lines, and i'm confident in my acting abilities, but not in the abilities of some of the other actors in the group. one of them missed 5 rehersals, and still hasen't completly memorized her lines. lets just hope that she got her s*** together over spring break. i'll find out tommorrow. anyways, wish me luck, and i'll report back on how it went.
Update #1 - we had our last rehersal today, and it went pretty well. it seemed some of the characters that were flaking off before finally did get there s*** together, and we made it through from the start to the end with minimal problems and no interuptions. i'll report back tommorow on how it went.
Update #2 - sweet jesus almighty the show starts in less than 3 hours. i'm really bloody nervous, but i'm blaming on the MONSEROUS THING of coffee i just drank. it's not me i'm worried about, one of my group members wasn't in school today, lets hope he bloody well shows. well, i'll be back in a few hours to report how it went.
Update #3 - whew it's over. it went great, everyone remembered their lines, and we got a standing ovation at the end. it feels so damn good to get that out of the way, and better yet, it's friday and me and my friends are going to go se run fat boy run, which if it is as funny as hot fuzz or shaun of the dead, should be hilarious.
MY top ten games of all time
by with_teeth26 on Comments
Note - these are my opinions, you may agree or disagree, just keep it to yourself.
10. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault - the game that started it all, first person shooters, world war 2 obsession, this is the game that started me on the path of first person shooters, and introduced me to the exitment of world war 2. this is the first of 5, yes 5, world war 2 games on my list.
9. Battlefiels: 1942 - my favorite game in the series, bf1942 was a unreachable prize for me. i couldn't get it to work on my lousy laptop, but once i got a better computer, this game was a endless source of entertainment. simple yet fun multiplayer, this game was a revolutionary one for me.
8. The Elder Srolls III: Morrowind - This game astounded me when i first got it. the fact you could go anywhere and do anything with no set paths or missions, morrowind was my first ever rpg, and provided quite possibley the second most amout of solid gaming hours of any game i've played.
7. Company of Heroes - the only RTS to make it on to my list, company of heroes is a incredible game with a monsterous learning curve that never gets old. i have had my ass kicked the the cpu in skirmeshis so many times that it's not even funny. looks great, plays great, this game can be intense and frustrating all at once.
6. Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault - this is my second favorite WWII game ever, and in my opinion probably the most underated game of all time. Ground breaking technology for the time it was produced, amazing historical accuracy, and one of the few WWII games set in the pacific theatre, and a game that has some of the best character development out there, mohpa is probably the best medal of honor game according to me.
5. Half-Life 2: don't need to say much on this one. everyone loves this game, and should be on the top ten list of any shooter fan out there. you know the story, and about the game, all i'll say is that it is a remarkable shooter with groundbraking technology for the time it was released.
4. Call of Duty - my favorite WWII game of all time, Call of Duty brought ww2 to life like no other game out there. amazing graphics, gameplay, sound, multi player, COD is one of the finest shooters of our time. the fact that you get to play as the russians, the americans and the brits makes this game truly special, compared to the hordes of games where you play as the "apple-pie eating all-american my country tis of thee"(quote yhatzee crowshaw, zero punctation) characters you play in most games. truly a must have for any ww2 and shooter fan alike.
3. F.E.A.R: First Encounter Assault Recon - a spectacular game through and through, fear will keep you on the edge of your seat for the duration. backed up with some of the best graphics of the time, plus combat that is made only better by the slo - mo capability, fear brought me into a whole new dimension of gaming. this game can only be described by playing it, the story, gameplay, and graphics all come together to create a memorable experience anyone who plays it won't soon forget.
2. S.T.A.L.K.E.R: shadow of chernobyl - the most recent release on my list, shadow of chernobyl has compelled me from the start. i had only heard of the game about a month before a bought it, and when i did i didn't really know what to expect. The thing that makes this game so special to me is that the gameplay simply doesn't get old. i got this game on it's release date last march, and i still play it all the time a year later. the atmosphere, kill or be killed survival gameplay, and stunning detail make this game one of the most enjoyable creations i have ever had the privilidge of playing. all in all, this game is not for everyone, but if you can see past the bugs, you will end up loving stalker as much as i do.
1. The Elder Scroll IV: Oblivion - this one was easy. i from the day i started playing this game, i knew i had found a all time favorite. words cannot properly describe the experience of this game. the graphics. the gameply. the absurd open endedness that caon be found no where else. Oblivion takes the prize of most hours of clocked gaming (probably well over 4 or 5 hundred) and i still play it today. the moddability makes it timeless. the ai makes it unpredicdible. This game is simply a must have for any gamer out there who has any sort of attention span, or has been a good boy and taker there riddilin.
How to Enjoy a Game
by with_teeth26 on Comments
It seems these days the people are so harsh in judging of games, and they never really take the time to enjoy them. I've seen so many review, official and player, where all the review does is nitpick, and try there damndest to find every singe flaw with the game. i've discovered that if you concentrate on whats good about the game, or what makes the game special, you will really enjoy a game more. for example, if youre playing Medal of Honor: Airborne, in my opinion a underrated game in a underrated series, if you concentrate on the fact that sometimes the enemy AI can be glitchy, or that the ragdolls can occasionally have problems, you'll give up playing the game very fast. but if you concentrate on the nice graphics, great sound effects and motion blur, in no time you'll be running around, comepletly engrossed in the game. so if you get a game, and find yourself looking for problems, just try to ingore them and enjoy the game for what good it does have. that way, youll be happier with your purchase, and you'll find yourself deeply into games that you previously found to be mediocre. just how i look at it, i hope it sways someones opinion.
