The question speaks for itself.

I want to try the series out, gonna try ME 1 & 2 first because they're both currently cheap. Are they worth buying and trying, even if I don't play RPGs?

Based on reviews, the series are NOT exactly the RPGs that I grew to despise, like the turn based Final Fantasy games. I don't like turn based. But it seems more action oriented RPG.

Yes, Mass Effect series is not turned base, it's a action rpg.

So I have a PC that will most likely be able to run Dark Souls when it releases on PC in a few months. However, I still like playing some games on console and Dark Souls may be one of them. The only legitimate problem that I see with the Xbox and PS3 version is the framerate. While on PC I will be able to lower settings if the framerate is unacceptable, I have noticed that on the console versions, it is very noticeable in places, even during 1v1 combat in confined spaces (usually PvP).

Are these framerate issues enough to discourage me from getting the game on Xbox and wait for the PC port?

no telling if the pc port is going to be up to snuff so never assume that, I would wait for pc still though and then make a choice after you read the reviews on it though.

I'm on my NG+ in Dark Souls and am currently level 52. I've been hearing that the higher the level you are, the harder the game becomes. So I put off leveling as much as possible and just sit on my souls. I guess my real question is, is there any truth to that? On my old character that I had to delete I was also on NG+ but was level 98 and when I went to fight the Four Kings, I was nearly impossible to beat and I did it on my first try on my 1st play-through. So should I level as much as possible or try to stay in a certain level zone?

leveling helps, but its a mixture of skill and leveling really, enemies are harder though and leveling is key.

[QUOTE="HarryOsborn"]obviously i know that kid. like i said it should be the date you signed up your account, thats how every other website/game else does it when it comes to reputation2ndWonder
I understand what you are saying. I don't have a complaint with that actually, as it's just a number and it would show just how long you've been a member of xbox.com But you can't really compare this to every other website, because the number you want to display, is displayed on a console profile not a website profile. I'm not against what you want, but I guess it was something M$ wanted to do for the members that paid for gold and didn't consider thinking about everyone in this case.

I agree, and stop calling people kid and buddy it's annoying, we are not all teenagers here.

Already have Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim. Torn between the Witcher, Dark Souls and Kingdoms of Amulaur.

Shika_Stoner
Witcher 2 or Dark Souls, can't go wrong with either one, they are both different rpg's though.

Nintendo is apparently (rumor) going to finally release New Play Control: Pikmin 2 on the Wii soon. My theory is that (and other people are saying this too) Nintendo wants to make people familiar with the Pikmin IP again with Pikmin 3 on the horizon. Even if this doesn't mean a Wii U launch release for Pikmin 3 it should mean development is going nicely enough to warrant release Pikmin 2 in the US to get more consumer attention for the IP. Rumor has it the May issue of Nintendo Power confirms that NPC Pikmin 2 will finally release in the states. This is very good news because 1. GameStop and online dealers charge $40+ for used copies 2. GameStop and online dealers can **** it and be forced to lower their prices a bit when the superior Wii version comes out. I imagine like most NPC titles this will retail for $29.99 brand new. It is odd to release another NPD so late in the generation, as odd as not releasing NPC Wind Waker or Sunshine but I take what I can get and I've never played Pikmin 2 despite everyone saying it's awesome. Pikmin 2 heading to North America on Wiibonesawisready5

I believe it's going to be a launch title for the system as well, but we will have to wait until E3 to see for sure, but all signs point to it being a launch title for the system in my books.

A 7 out of 10 for Kid Icarus? Blasphemy! It's not the game's fault the writer is too old to handle the controls. The complaints about the controls are just getting so old! I mastered them in a few levels. Also I honestly liked the land battles waaay more the air battles, that was where I died most of the time because of the little control and it feels too much like Star Fox.

Sora278

so they are wrong cause they disagree with you? rotfl, it's their opinion you got to learn to accept it, crying over it isn't going to change it at all.

I love Mario as much as everyone else here, but is anyone else kinda disappointed that NSMB2 has already gotten an actual name and official release date ahead of all the other games we've known about for some time now? We've known about 3DS games such as Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, and Luigi's Mansion way before we've heard that a new 2D Mario was coming.

Now, I don't know exactly how much time they've spent developing this so I won't jump to conclusions and claim that it has been rushed. I know I heard some comments regarding the new screenshots they showed recently saying that it doesn't look all that different from previous 2D Marios.

Personally, i've never been a huge fan of the 2D Marios so i'm not exactly super hyped for this. I thought Super Mario 3D Land was awesome but I really don't need another Mario platformer so soon. I've been waiting to hear more about Animal Crossing and the other games, and it looks like i'll still be waiting for a while longer.

moltenix

not really, mario brothers is going to be their biggest seller for the system so it doesn't shock me that it has a release date first, it will end up being more of the same thing more then likely and it will sell a ton, I'm personally more interested in Paper Mario though to be honest with you.
