2143 all the way, and this is a perfect type of futuristic Sci Fi universe for us the explore because it's genuinely different. it explores a eurocentric conflict rather than something you see in other games that are mostly set in the US, now don't get me wrong Americana go very well with Post Apocalypse, but 2142 is like an anacronistic slightly ironic recreation of both WWI and WWII. except it happens in reverse where you have the Pan Asian Coalition go and assault Europe from the east.
you can also really tell by the billboards and the little glimps of the minimalistic art style that both the Pan Asian Coalition and the futuristic European Union are very totalitarian societies. the color pallet isn't the usual brown and murky it's not a collage of tech noir and wasteland, it's dark, cold and yet admidts the ruins it's surprisingly pristine. this art style gets a glimpse of a very George Orwellish world. especially in tha maps Fall fo Berlin and Minsk, it's very 1984. this can give you a really nice glimpse into how this story can happen through a personal POV if this is ever explored.
think about what an amazing story DICE can find throught this universe, a world where you only have two totalitarial regimes who control all that is left of humanity in the shrinking world around them due to the new ice age.
that is mearly exploring the lore possibilities of expending upon the 2142 universe, the MP is the real meat of Battlefield, and considering whatever DICE will push forward will be on Frostbite 3.0 or more, I only need to combine two things to make it sound more epic than any other MP game- TITAN +DESTRUCTION.
Ubisofts DRM is the worst, Origin might be a broken POS compared to Steam, but hey at least we even get to start the comparison to Steam. Uplay is like a sticky parasite that just gets in you way even if you are launching the Ubisoft games via Steam.
considering Ubisofts track record with their DRM, seeing how they milking the Assassins Creed franchise (no matter how good it is) just as hard as Call of Duty, the total butchering of what the Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six are about, Ubisoft might had it easy compared to other companies. but Ubisoft is not your friend, they are just as greedy, they will still go to extremes and they will go after your wallet first.
somewhere in the multiverse of infinity, there is a Nicolas Cage universe where everyone is Nic Cage and the plantes are all giant Nicolas Cage faces rolling and saying "I want this cake!"
Crysis is a phenomenal game Crysis 2 is pretty awesome, Crysis 3 lost it's steam but still plays pretty well. but Cevat is ruining his franchise reputation with this attitude . the gameplay is solid, definately above average and that is a lot going on, i just wish Cevat would just stop shovin his million polygon balls up our heads all the time. he should be mute about graphics, that's how he might get people's attention about the game itself rather than it's graphics. i kinda feel bad for Crysis receiving that wrong attention.
