@beuneus12 @Fulminatory So I'll say again lol I h8 Xbox, MS has nothing great in specs, good innovation but lacks power. I have a 360, h8 it to bits, but love gears and halo. My point is, that the subscription fee for the PS4, isn't as bad as it looks when you think about it. The console is probably worth $900. But like beuneus12 said. Better to pay $500 up front and then yearly sub. It's still a kind of dog act from Sony though lol knowing it would be cheap upfront.
I've decided to look at it like this. No matter that it goes against my principals and morals towards pay to play (which I'm very anti pay to play). I'd have happily paid $800-900 for the PS4 outright, but this is personal preference since I like to buy stuff outright, no contracts or installments, I hate being in debt. Since I don't play online MP but only Co-Op once in a while I found it stupid that I'd have to pay for PS+, since the consoles or PCs are usually used to host co-op games anyways.
But with some calm thinking, I've been able to convince myself otherwise. Mainly for Aussies, the PS3 was $999 on it's release and was at this price for a good while, keeping in mind they had to litterally put a PS2 and PS3 togheter, raising the costs significantly. Now If you were like me and got it back in 2006/07 than you'd have got a good 7 years out of it to this day, being the original generation they were built to last. I think I could get easily another 3 years out of it.
So I look at the PS4 like this; $549AUD is the upfront deposit required to take the console home, it then requires an installment of $50 a year (optional though, hopefully they have MtoM payments to) for the next 5-7 years. Which eventually adds up to $899 if you pay $50/yr for 7 years. So even though I've lost a large amount of respect for Sony after doing this, the gamer in me can rest assured that the money won't be an ENTIRE waste.
@Ghosthunter54 @wolf503 Yeah, to be honest, I'm not sure what I want more. Watch Dogs or this lol Both will be different games but you can see Ubisoft have used Watch Dogs as a new standard and have expanded on it.
I have waited 8 long years (since NFSMW '05) for a real street racing game. Out of nowhere Ubi announces this. This is what the new NFS games should have been like, this is what the new Fast and Furious game should have been like. The chase part near the end adds that F&F feel; working as a crew to take down a target.
