while I do not follow christianity or catholosism I personally beleive that all the lessons and information you need is right there in the bible. I don't need some self ordained man/woman standing in front of me telling me how to live. To me going to church is like lazy religion...it's there for people to be told whats in the bible rather than taking the time to read it for themselves.

I quick reply since on my browser when I try to blog post or use reply i'll hit submit and get the "you cannot submit a blank post" error. I use firefox to post blog stuff but my problem with firefox is it doesn't like my IP,Comcast, so all fill in boxes are blue in an attempt to protect passwords. It sucks to go to google and type a search in a blue box where it doesn't show you what your typing.

Well the first part of your story is the problem kids these days aren't taught to be respectful of people and teens are mean since they think it makes them look cool to friends or makes them feel better about themselves. It seems society sees someone really fat and automatically assumes they are that way because they over eat or are lazy, while not considering that maybe the person has a medical problem such as an under active thyroid or worse. It seems it is easier to blame a person rather than practice empathy. My father-in-law is in a wheel chair being quadrapalegic for 30 years now and it is horrible how people look at him as less than human. I constantly help him out in stores and people see that and assume he is helpless but in truth he lives alone in a house he helped build, builds all kinds of cabinets and stuff, cleans his house, makes his food and drives his car. He is hardly helpless but ,like fat people, society seems to see him as less than a person.

I was blessed by my dad with the ability to play by ear and pretty much be able to play any instrument. For me it was fun to learn something just by sound but I have used tabs for guitar from time to time. Sadly due to life being crappy I haven't played guitar or anything for at least 6 years and personally feel i'm back at begginer level.

I'm like the OP i'm generally nice but some days I get in a bad funk. I guess i've been considered smarmy sometimes. I quite reading SW so my personality has reverted back to my generally nice self.

Same reason you see the majority of old people buying a ton of lottery tickets....something to occupy their time since they honestly have nothing to keep them busy. On the other hand I think it is a generation thing. Mostly in their day politics were a big thing that EVERYONE followed and now for us younger generations its just not as important to most of us. I guess its kind of like the newspaper as well...most older people cling to it for news while most of us utilize other media for news ..ie the internet.

While you have point the only problem is that any other country that has an "official" language still have the same propblem of people who don't use it right. I agree that US should make it official since everything here is already in english. When people come to America do they expect to have to deal with everything being in english or everything in spanish (or what ever other language your prefer). Seeing as how we came from England it's pretty simple to see why english was adopted as the language. At this moment changing our unofficial language of english to anything else would be like an American moving to France and saying ,"Ok,now that im here we need to make the language english." Minority vs majority problem.
