You could always make him go on the computer and run AIM, Word and Some Firefox windows along with WMP

and say that's your desktop

and say "boy isn't this slow" because it probably will be.

And a new computer that will run Steam can be bought for like, say $299 + a cool widescreen monitor =)

Yeah thats fine. But I will just say that tomake it an all-around better system, get an 8800 GTS 640 mb, a Core 2 Duo, and another gig of RAM. You might be able to do that for 600, and it would kill your current system.

My games keep crashing, I look at my temps with everest and GPU is 115 and climbing! opened case and GFX card is smoking and fan not working! Fan only works sometimes. How can i fix??!!? HELP PLEASE !!the_dude69

Yeah it will be fine, maybe even to 3.4GHz (but try 3.0 first). Hmm... maybe I should try with my 5200+.

And the PSU is fine.
