Not to rain on this love fest you all seem to be having but this is system wars right? Did I stumble into the wrong forum, the ds forum? Seriously are any of you over 20? Just curious, not to bash or anything, it's just I don't understand all the love for this. I am 30, I grew up with Dragon Warrior 1, Final Fantasy 1, ff2, chrono triger, might and magic, wizardry, ultima,and gold box games as my rpgs growing up.... I had an ex girlfriend back after I graduated high school who had a gameboy color and she played it, I never seen the appeal. I seen the cartoon on tv and thought it was aimed at very young kids, kinda like barney, or teletubies or something like that, of course I also don't get dragon ball z either or yughio, magic the gathering sure..d and d sure, pokemon? Pokemon? My little 6 and 8 year old nephews play that. Maybe its a generation gap or something, but still... It's almost the same with cartoons that were out in the 80's and then the ones in the 90's seemed more toned down about the same time as this stuff came out. I still don't get the appeal. It's not Fianl Fantasy, its not Dragon Quest, its' not might and magic, etc...nothing like hardcore rpgs with real stories, deep rpg elements and great enemies and weapons...this pokemon fluffy monster craze is just not right.
and as i said in the other thread, so when is sony going to actually work on games? you know those things that you play on video game systems? as for that is home a all inclusive area for you and your friends to hang out and launch games from? no? thought so...

Sony has been relasing exclusive after exclusive, and they have been great, they have over 20 1st/2nd party devs compared to the 3 1st party m$(yes i put the dollar sign in there..lol). You realize ms has pretty much abandoned first party exclusives in favor of dlc and just having multiplats. 360 is adding some tv show thing, that isn't gaming..... Seriously Sony has been big on bringing out games. I own over 40 ps3 disc games and 25 psn dl titles .... This isn't early 2007, althought you lems wish it was....wasn't that the last year ms really made a lot of exclusives?
Then why are you so fixated with music videos? Those 40 disc games and 25 PSN titles obviously are pretty boring...
I'm not fixated on music videos....its an added feature to the ps3's already extended feature set. Some nice distraction ... the ps3 is a game system and entertainment system just like the 360 is.... I get excited when any new feature comes in, just like I am sure you do for the 360.
Who watches music videos on a console (or at all for that matter)..... oh right we're talking about the ps3, aka blu-ray player with built-in game console.

Another Champions would rock. The lack of dungeon crawlers on consoles in the likeness of Champions is why I want this game. I played the first Sacred on PC and dug it regardless of the bugs, lame story and horrible voice acting. It is just a fun as hell isometric loot fest that is extremely addictive and relaxing to play. The lack of these types of games on consoles this gen is disturbing and I am sure I will still enjoy this one to some extent. IGN is not going to dissuade me from picking it up.
Agreed...I am still picking this game up on Tuesday, when my pre-order comes in. this is the closest thing we have to Champions of Norath for this gen. and I am going to get it. the pc version wasn't bad, I just can't use the moust that long as i work on pc all day. The game is seriously underrated. If you like champions you will probalby like this game, its open world too. And from what I've read on their forums the ps3 version has some bonuses like upgraded textures on the blueray and a different engine than the 360 version so it may be better.

That you have to pay for....like everything on xbox, ms needs to take a chunk of your money, Sony has been know for giving us free stuff now and then and this is one of them. Along with free online play, fee home, free life with playstation, free browser (360 = none, wii = pay for), free games sometimes, even when you subscribe to Qore you get free betas, and 2 free games when you sign up, syphon fitler ps1, high velocity bowling and uncharted 2 mp beta, covers almost all the cost of the sub to begin with. Plus free dlc for some games like lbp, and lets devs release free dlc and user created content...unreal 3 and it's titan map pack and user made mods.
