I'm actually surprised that there are that many people who don't enjoy the game. I know my brother hates the series but still hasn't played any of them. I guess Metal Gear Solid is a game that you must play through to get attached to the story line and to appreciate the franchise. I, personally, thinks it's one of the greatest games of our time. I especially loved in the first Metal Gear Solid how Kojima broke the fourth wall and made you pick up the cd case to find Meryl's codec. AMAZING. Just think what Kojima will implement with the sixaxis. Cannot wait. for the what seems to be the final chapter of this great saga.
