@Alexander IkeaSwede Eriksson My LORD, such a fantastic game. I had network issues because I'm in NZ (I think) but WOW, when I had a round that ran nicely it was special.

I agree with a lot of this - a fantastic review! I'm loving the opportunity for the staff of Gamespot to offer differing opinions on the same game. I personally loved this iteration of the Fables, it was incredibly dark and intriguing, though I understand your feelings about being an imposter in a world that's already established. Though I think that as the player, you shouldn't remain too tied to the fables themselves; the game takes the fundamentals, such as Bigby attacking Red Riding Hood and being saved by the Huntsman, and develops them past the point of conclusion you and I most associate with. Anyway, a fantastic concept and I can't wait to see what happens next!

About combat being a filler between sections of story, I totally agree with this. You see it in so many games: the Last of Us, each Bioshock, hell, even CoD! It's such a polarizing thing; do you focus completely on story, such as the Walking Dead, sacrificing almost all player control, or do you try and merge the techniques, gameplay and story, as Infinite has. I, for one, found the combat sections nearing the end of Bioshock extremely tedious, with enemies being thrown at me the seemed to absorb more and more bullets until dropping. Overall the story was good - high on mystery and intrigue - however I didn't experience the same emotional connection to the characters as in the Last of Us or TWD. I measure an experience of a game by my feelings, and how strong they are, toward the characters I've met, be they hate, love or jealously. Combat tends to blunt the sharpness of these feelings, but is required to keep the masses happy.

Fantastic news. After The Walking Dead I've really taken an interest in games that are built around a story, as opposed to it being the other way around.

Absolutely loved The Walking Dead series; games that focus on story, for me, provide such a well needed break from first person shooters and sport games. I don't mind sitting back for five minutes watching a cut-scene, knowing that I somehow influenced what I'm seeing.

@mr_nee @sorintitus Jesus man, lighten up. It's not your decision as to what people can and can't comment. Have some respect.
