Review and Top 10

Heres a portion of a review I wrote awhile back:
Review for Dudebox by Billy Talent.

In 1993 a band called Pezz (now known as Billy Talent) emerged from the community of Streetsville, Ontario. They started off with the genre of Rapcore, which would lead into Soft Rock/Alternative Rock, to Punk Rock. Pezz was around for 6 years, before the American Pezz decided to file a lawsuit against them, as to why they changed their name to, the wildly known (amongst Canada and the UK), Billy Talent.

When you first start this tape up, you will notice the Rage Against the Machine influence, which isn't a bad thing, as they even try to get their own sound(but still end up being a clone of RAGE). Ben Kowalewicz's vocals are still annoying as ever (if you don't like Billy Talent), but he doesn't sing. In fact he raps, which may sound surprising, and he does it well. He can rap with a very good flow. Ian D'sa one of the most astonishing guitarists that's associated with the genre Punk Rock, is just as amazing in this 4 track EP, as he is in Billy Talent. He knows how to make very, very catchy riffs. He rarely sings (if ever) though, so that may...Read More

Summers over ):

Hello folks, tomorrow is the start of a new year of school.
I'm not very excited, though I do finally get to take photography, which is great.
My other school didn't have it.
On the topic of Photography, I have some of my pictures up and about here.
Anyways, Summer break is over, and sadly it feels like Fall in Ontario.
I'm thinking of following the trend of making a top 10 list of some sort, I'll get back to everyone on that eventually.
In the mean time everyone enjoy the start of school once again, or try to enjoy your full time job.
Bye for now

Good news folks!

Get ready to blast off, at the speed of light!
Team Rocket is winning!
Support Team Rocket as much as you can, they need your help!
Thanks to everyone for the support! :D

Its been awhile.

Hello, hello.
Sorry for not updating my blogs and what not, been busy with photography and been pre-occupied with games.
I've been really get ting into PC gaming lately, so as you can believe I've been playing the hell out of some of those games, haha.
I also got Monster Hunter tri- all the way back when it first came out, and most recently i got my hands on Sin and Punishment 2, and the quite rare Muramasa: The Demon Blade.
I love all three of those games.
But for as PC gaming goes, I've been playing Borderlands, Bad Company 2, Team Fortress 2, and Plants vs. Zombies.
I can't believe how much time I've spent playing video games recently.
I have been getting out a lot though, for photography purposes. So all in all, my summers going pretty good.
So my question to everyone is, how has your summer been? and Who did you chose to win the "Greatest Villian of All Time"?

Have a good day everyone (:
PS: I'll keep my blog more up to date from now on :D

Dead Space and other things

SaturdayI had the delightful pleasure of purchasing Dead Space: Extraction, and I am astonished that this game isn't selling well. It's fun, and theres a few scare moments. People are always whining about the Wii's graphics, yet everytime I play this game I sometimes forget I'm playing on the Wii (maybe I just get into it and think it's a movie). The graphical power of this game...is astonishing. I didn't hit any framerate issues either. This is a must buy folks. Don't just skip it, I'd love to see Visceral make another game for the Wii (:

Other news, I pre-ordered Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (awhile ago actually, kinda upset its been delayed) and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I plan on pre-ordering Monster Hunter: tri-, Metroid: Other M and No More Heroes Desperate Struggle when I get he chance. If theres any news on pre-orders available, please tell me in the comments :D

Have a nice day (:

New things going on. (This would be my 2nd blog now.)

First, I got a new banner ;)
Second, I'm starting to get sick and tired of school, it's draining the life out of me.
Third, I can finally scream again :D
Fourth, I'm still working on my Knytt Stories level (it's quite large (that's what she said :D))
Fifth, everyone I know is immature, but that's what makes life so grand.
Sixth, I'm not doing good in school :(

and, I offically have no life :D
'cause all I ever do is listen to music, go on the internet and play games. Oh well, life well spent (so far).

Nintendo and the Hardcore Gamer

originally posted March 4 2009: Hello my name is Richard, glad to see people reading my blog (: Today I'm writing about Nintendo and its hardcore gamer. Most hardcore gamers are expecting better from the Wii, graphic wise and game play wise. I have also noticed most hardcore gamers will usually go for Mature (and sometimes Teen) games and just dodge anything under Teen, which the Wii has a very small supply of Mature games (No More Heroes, Resident Evil 4, The Godfather, Manhunt 2 etc;). About the graphics, except for the upcoming game The Conduit, which I believe has Early to mid term Xbox 360 graphics, the graphics aren't doing so well in Nintendo's department, many call Wii's graphics Last generation. So that proves the Wii can handle good(ish) graphics, just the **** publishers aren't spending enough time on it. They put it together, don't put any time into it, and throw it on the shelves. The Conduit isn't doing that (as you can tell), and since Sega and High Voltage studios are using an engine only for the Wii, maybe we will see this engine in other games to come. But the hardcore games are on a desperate low right now, SSBB doesn't cut it right now, SMG isn't ever played, MP3 is sometimes played, No More Heroes is often played. In my opinion its mainly the programmers fault for not spending a good amount of time or money on the games, they think they can just throw it on the shelves and the money will come rolling to them, well it obviously worked. Since it worked, game developers are still doing the same thing, put it together from a bunch of recycled crap, spend no time on it, throw it on the shelves and sit in their chair at the desk waiting for the money. Nintendo's fault for not making the Wii powerful enough, I don't see why Nintendo couldn't just put a 5 GB hardrive in there. But games aren't just about graphics, I usually concentrate on the controls, level designs and gameplay, but when I notice the graphics for a game are gorgeous (espically on the Wii) I will live up to those expectations on the Wii. Examples of good graphics: Super Mario Galaxy (lives up to one of the Wiis (if not the best) most gorgeous games), Sonic Unleashed (considerably day), Metroid Prime 3 (when it first came out it was absolutely gorgeous), The Conduit. Examples of moderate to bad graphics: Super Smash Bros. Brawl (seems like a simple update from Melee), Twilight Princess (I belive its just GameCube graphics), Radiant Dawn (The cutscenes are gorgeous, but not so much the same with the Gameplay). Everyone's opinions are accepted (: Richard
