Thanks for the heads up, OP.

Also kind of funny, i was thinking this would be perfect for my friend who doesnt have Gold yet. But he cant get it, because he doesnt have Gold. :?
Sorry about being unclear. Some folk don't like to pay the full Xbox live subscription fee. They often get around this by waiting for a sale. This week, for Americans at least, the sale is now. You can go to a Best Buy retail store and pick up the Xbox live card, or if you like to shop online, Buy.com has a similarly priced card.
This post is just a heads up post because so many Xbox gamers come here. I tried to link the deals but Gamespot does not allow such links. Sorry about that.
Of particular note: You can go to Bestbuy.com, the American electronics retailer, and get the code emailed to you after purchase. You don't even have to go into the store. Look for that special version using the typical search function from the Best Buy website. They are not the same card that they mail to you in the mail, like the one available at Buy.com

Lastly, in response to Witchsight, these are completely different from the subscription service that Xbox live offers through your console. I don't recommend giving microsoft your credit card info. Billing errors can result in a nightmare, and you can never take back your credit card info once you provide it. Paying for cards, then entering codes into the Xbox protects you from Microsofts inadequate customer service, especially when it comes to accounts that have been hijacked, or otherwise compromised (little Johnny, the neighborhood kid, came over and bought 20k microsoft points on my son's Xbox live without me authorizing it, ha ha ha!).
