Looking for some good co-op games for the XBLA, my gf just got an xbox so it'd be best if the games weren't too intense since its all new to her, thanks!

The fans on the fats are loud - there have been several posts about this. More intense games, louder fans, etc. It's not a big deal. My question is: Why would you buy an older version fat when you could have bought the slim? If it is a price difference, then there you go - you get what you pay for. My fat has had the fan start-up noise since day one, it's louder on certain games.

Apparently they must be...about 20 min ago I was just surfing around the cross bar thing (home screen) without even playing anything and the ps3 took off like a jet engine. I felt near the back of the console, it was pumping hot air out like a **** - is that normal to be producing THAT much heat?

I just bought a ps3 (80 gb fat version) and have been downloading demos and stuff to figure out what I want to go buy. Thing is, after I fire up a demo and play it for 5-10 minutes, the fans on my system go CRAZY...like super loud. I don't think my 360 has ever gotten that loud, and those are regarded as being a lot louder than ps3's.

I have it standing vertical with decent amount of breathing space, I was just wondering if this is normal for the older ps3's or if I may be an exception. Its annoying having to turn the TV volume up just to drain out the fan noise.

Is there any measures I can take to help this, short of buying an intercooler or anything like that? If it helps, I believe my room where the ps3 is sitting is about 80 degrees or so - not sure how big of an impact that would have compared to a room that is a more reasonable 72 or so.

I've been trying to DL the LBP2 demo tonight, but when I start it up it tells me it has about 300 minutes remaining. Just was wondering if anyone else was having problems with it - the store as a whole seems to be laggy a bit, even just loading the menus for me. Also, I'm new to PS3 so maybe this is normal, idk.

so even though the store is still down now and is clearly affecting everyone even ppl that just got their ps3. they cant have the free games? Why not? itz not like the problem has been solved nor have they shown any sign that it will be anytime soon. So i dont understand why everyone doesnt get the WBP(welcome back program).
