I'll probably upgrade to a DSi. The matt finish, the DLC, and the upgradable firmware won over my DS Lite in the end. :) Besides, i have a GBA to play GBA games anyway and the battery is still pretty good on low brightness. :P

So the fairly new models like the 40GB and 80GB are safe from the Yellow Light right?

Delete the user account you assigned your PSN account to (Make sure you copy save data first) Then assign the PSN account to a new user account and copy your saved data over. =) Hope this helps!

Please everyone be serious. Dust can kill it so dust it down every so often. Keep it in an open Space so the air can circulate around the fans.

Ok so heres my problem, The other day i went to my friends house because he just got a PS3. I brought over my Resistance 2 and played it but it never installed Game Data but still worked perfectly. Is it because he has no internet connection to download the Game Data and how the hell is it playing without installing game data! or is there something different between my 40GB and his new 80GB?

EDIT: Ive come to the conclusion that when you buy a game it is a certain version and so it will play without installing game data because the latest version of the game is already on the disc but when a new version of the game is released you have to download it. That would explain why my friends PS3 never installed the latest version of Game Data because he has no broadband and why when i first got R2 i must have downloaded the latest version. Is this all correct? Sorry if its really confusing

I want to do the same and the only question i can answer is your trophies. When you turn your system on with the new HDD go to your trophies and press Triangle, then click sync to server and it will take a second but that will get all your trophies back. Something I've been curious about is backing up data. do you just put a flash drive in and move it to there or how did you do it? thirteen_zombie

Thanks for the help. :) And to answer your question, I copied one of my saved data to my ipod and went onto a new user account and copied it onto that just to test it and everything worked fine. Ill just do the same when i get my new HDD. Hope this helps.

I have a couple question on the PS3 that need answering.

Ok so soon im going to be changing my HDD from my 40GB (Which is nearly gone) to a 120GB.

Is 120GB big enough for Game Data and downloading games off the Playstation Store? Will i have to download System Software onto a Disc from the internet and install it onto my new HDD or can i just redownload it directly onto the PS3?

I know ill have to reinstall all my Game Date back on and copy my game saves back on, but when my PSN account is registered onto my new user account, will my trophie collection come with it? Just in case i lose all my trophies. ANSWERED

And finally, If i purchased dowloadable content or a game off the PS Store, will i have to purchase it again or can i just redownload it because im using the same PSN account? ANSWERED

Help would be much appreciated. :)
