Brief Update

So, yeah. I haven't been on here a lot (again). I'm going to try and get back into these forums, as I really enjoyed using them. This is a surprisingly short blog, isn't it?

Hang on. Just thought of something. In school at the end of last year we had to pick whether to keep German, Technology or Spanish. I kept German.

Far Cry 2

So, I got Far Cry 2 a week or so back. It's an alright game, and I got the Limited Edition. It's not the version that comes with the T-Shirt and the massive wooden box, but it comes in a metal case with a plastic sleeve over it. It looks pretty cool, actually. I got the game and I'm beginning to enjoy it now.

The graphics are good, and the gameplay is fun. I think Far Cry 2 might be more of an RPG than a straight up shooter though. I got my copy of Far Cry 2 for £15, pre owned in Xtra Vision. The disc is in perfect condition, and the game plays perfectly well.

Sorry I Haven't Been Here Lately

I haven't been here on GameSpot, blogging lately. This blog is just my way of apologising for it. I have been doing some things, and I haven't been able to write a decent blog here. I'm sorry. I've been on mapMonkeys, and I have been playing more Xbox 360 games. I was playing Crackdown with one of my friends recently, as he has only recently gotten Xbox LIVE.

I also have been playing a lot of a new game that I only recently bought. Burnout Paradise. I really enjoyed this game when I rented it out last year, before I had LIVE. However, with the Burnout Bikes and other packs having been added for free by Criterion Games, it's even better. As well as playing Paradise, I have been using Twitter. I don't really 'tweet' about anything important, just when I'm playing a match, and the results after the match. Surprisingly, I have 7 followers. I have a feeling most of them are banned though.

If you want to follow me on Twitter, go right ahead. My Twitter username is the same as my GameSpot username.

Medal of Honor Airborne

So, my previous blog post was about the demo of this game. This blog post will be about the real game. I didn't rent this game, and I actually bought it instead for £10. Overall, it seems to be a very enjoyable game so far.

I'm only on the second mission so far, and it's pretty tough actually. I've fully upgraded the Kar 98k and the Thompson so far, and I'm now working on the MP40. The guns in Airborne seem really accurate and realistic, and the gameplay is pretty fun. The only problem I have at the moment is that I'm not yet very good at the game. I'm enjoying it though, and with luck, I might be able to beat the final mission tonight. IMO, the full game is just as good as the demo :)

Medal of Honor Airborne Demo

So, I was bored today, and I saw the demo of Medal of Honor : Airborne available to download. Seeing as it had the MoH label on it, I figured 'Why not?' and downloaded it. So, to kill time while it was downloading, I opened up Fallout 3. Once the demo was done downloading, I went to the Dashboard to play it.

Well, what can I say? The demo is really good fun! I liked the fact that you have to jump out of the plane and parachute to your desired point. So far, I haven't yet gotten the 'Greased Landing' or even Flared. Every time I've landed, it's been Botched - I still enjoy it though. Not only that, but you can also get modifications for your weapons.

Sure, it might not look amazing anymore, but the gameplay in it more than makes up for the somewhat outdated visuals. I remember seeing Airborne to rent when I rented out Far Cry 2 a while back (awful game IMO). If I'm lucky, I might be able to pick Airborne up for a rent tonight. I hope so, because it's a superb demo.

I haven't seen the game for sale anywhere, but if I can find a copy of it, I'd be willing to trade in my copy of Fallout 3, as I barely play it.

I Bought Gears of War 2!

So, today I decided to call my local games retail store to see what price they were selling Gears of War 2 for. Apparently, it was only £20! I decided to buy the game, and to trade two old games in for it. The two games I traded in were Midnight Club Los Angeles and Need for Speed Undercover. They were fairly average games, so I was alright with it. I dind't get the limited edition version, as it wasn't in stock.

Back on GameSpot - Again

I keep forgetting to come back here, for some reason. I do still love this site though, and I will make sure to be more active here, as I'm on my school's Easter Holidays. I really need to remember to make a pause break for my sig though.

Apologies for Inactivity

I am apologising for being inactive on this website for quite some time. I had tests at school, a cold and was trying to get active on a few other websites, here they are :

Bungie.Net - Used to be very active on here. Stopped for a while, but I'm trying again.

CallofDuty.com - Great website for CoD fans. Treyarch update the community here.

mapMonkeys - An amazing website for glitches, and just a great community.

Whoo! Back In Business!

So, anyway, this blog posting is me saying that my school tests are finally over. Now, I can enjoy GameSpot and all the other things I've been missing out on again.

Obama's Inauguration

This blog post is just a note of congratulations to Barack Obama for making history today.

I know that Barack Obama will probably not read this, but this is just me saying : Congratulations.

Hopefully, Obama will be able to do all the things he says he will try to do. I wish him all the best of luck with his ideas.
