Steam will make sure you do not lose anything if they go bankrupt.Period.f617682657
You have no way of knowing for certain what would happen if Valve went bankrupt. They might release a patch for Steam that releases us from our requirement to log on the Internet to install and/or play games, or they might not do anything different at all, leaving us with files that can't be activated. It's that doubt that makes me and others worried.

What is with the fascination with two analog sticks? I don't recall myself really using the second stick on my PlayStation One, let alone finding any games that really put it to use. We're not missing much. Why would I want to control a PlayStation Home character on a portable gaming system? How would that benefit my gaming experience? If I wanted to do anything like that, why wouldn't I just play The Sims? It would have the added benefit of not requiring me to be tethered to a wi-fi access point (if you can find one). Blu-Ray on the PSP? Wha? You do realize the cost of a Blu-Ray player these days, right? The games would have to be severely bloated with data to make use of the space available on a Blu-Ray disc, nevermind the utter pointlessness of playing an HD game on a three-inch screen.

I don't trust Valve: their history is filled with as many mistakes as there are successes. Steam was horrible when it debuted. It's finally a stable system, but it's still a rather silly way of playing games. Purchasing games from Steam is rarely worthwhile to me. If I could play a game without Steam, I wouldn't mind at all. What I find even worse than purchasing games from Steam is purchasing games in a store and then finding that they require Steam to be able to play even the single-player version. I avoided Half-Life 2 for that very reason. I'm glad I kept my original Half-Life discs secure so I can always go back to the WON version if Valve goes out of business. As I wrote before, I don't trust Valve: I certainly don't trust that, if they were to go bankrupt, they'd release a key or patch that wouldn't require my logging on to the Steam network to be able to install my game.

Q:will the slim be compatible with all of the previously released PSP games...also will the new ones be compatible with both FE!

if it requires better firmware...and the old one can't get the update...will it still be able to play the game?

also...do you think that the memory stick that will come in the bundle...will it be in it's original packaging?

like if you bought a PS2 bundle did the mem. card come in the orginal case?

...thanks!

I've consulted with Jack Tretton (I call him "Cuddles") and he told me that everything will work on the PSP as before, except for those that you own or use. He's set up fingerprint authentication on the new PSP, and every one you touch will not work for the duration of your presence. Even worse, he's set it up so that every new PSP you touch will end up being better than before, once you leave the room. That's how mad he is at you for asking questions without doing your own research.

Actually, I have one more PSP Slim question. What is the color of 35? See, I haven't been able to figure it out, either. I figure you'd be able to help me out. Also, Wikipedia.

really going to have faster load times?CronoStrife
No, it's going to take even longer than the original. It also will cause cancer, kill a child every time it restarts, and change your tongue's color to blue. Or, Wikipedia.
