I love how there are always a ton of people.. oh the ps3 has a tiny bit more resolution! it looks a tiny bit better, but then this news comes out and suddenly that stuff doesn't matter.. chuckle. I mean, it doesn't matter, still funny tho. fastrI think people are just giving the PS3 a break here considering rendering 2 seperate 720p images take a fasntastic amount of power as is. Just like people are saying the 3ds would look better then PS2 if it wasn't trying to project the same image twice. Why should nintendos console get a break but sonys shouldn't?

That's really cool and a clever use of the technology, but sadly it couldn't really work without glasses.Cherokee_JackIt already works without glasses. In brand new range rovers you have the option to have a screen like this in the dash. The passenger can watch a movie or whatever while the drivers sees the nav or whatever he needs...technologies not new, sony is just patenting a different way of doing it.
Infamous was one of my favorite games this gen so far along with Dead Space. And both sequals look like they're leaps and bounds more polished and better then the first games. I am SO stoked for Infamous 2 and so is my gf, she loved the first as well.
I don't get it. PSN's free service is easily comparable to XBL. As long as I don't need to pay to play online, PSN is the superior service.
I haven't even looked at PSN+, I don't know what it includes and I really dont care. The fact is on the PS3 you can play online without paying and as long as that fact doesn't change it's FAR superior to XBL. Sony is doing it right by offering a content based subscritption and offering the consumer the choice to purchase it. From what I can tell there's NOTHING is PSN+ that will make playing the games any better, just some OPTIONAL content. And I thought you lemmings were all about the options, with the OPTIONAL wifi, OPTIONAL wireless controllers, OPTINAL everything. That was your main arguement as to why the 360 was better and now that cows get an OPTIONAL service, you just sit back and bash it?
They also let you download the content in patches so that if someone else is using a special featur from the update, you can see it. Like in burnout, the toy vehicles and such. The patch you downlaoded was the DLC. All you got from the store was a key to unlock it.I think this is happening more and more often.
I was feeling really hyped for this game till I saw all the E3 footage. The guns have NO recoils at all. The aim assist looks more lie the auto aim outta COD, and the framerate is rather jittery. Kinda really dissapointed.
It's looks beautiful and everything but I'm second guessing this game now. What was on my list as a must buy just dropped to Wait for a review and find out if the framerate can keep up and how the multiplayer is..
It's not like MS and Sony don't deal with eachother already anyways. Ever heard of Sony Vaio...Yeah, Sonys laptop that comes pre loaded with WIndows...*GASP* it's almost as though they aren't even rivals. I'm sure the 2 companies talk to eachother a LOT more then any of us know...
[QUOTE="clyde46"][QUOTE="Richymisiak"]So far, I give it a few weeks before you seen the new 360 getting the RRoD. an entire generation sony had to fix ps2 problems and didn't fix them..though they lowered their rate. A problem like this is not easy to fix nor is it instantly completely fixed. why hasn't sony fixed ylod problems? if we go by cow ideals gameinformer polls are fact therefor the ps3 has a 9% failure rate...thats unforgiveable last i checked since sony said it was less then the industry accepted 3%.3% fail rate is acceptible within the first year, then up to 7 in the second year, then up to 15% in the 3rd year. Of course I've posted this for you about 50 times now and have been ignored every time...well if you'd actually looked at the picture this isn't the RROD. hardware failure, its just overheating, which is as far as we know a temporary issue

As for the new 360's RDOT, it seems this isn't a failure but rather an alarm to prevent it from breaking. I remember the thread by kuu, he said he gets about 20 minutes game time and this happens every time, with the console horizontal or vertical. Either way, so far it seem he just got a lemon as it's not widespread. Not like the first 360 designs that had very widespread issues with everything within 5 minutes of launch. MS seems to have done it right with the slim. I may have to get one now, plus the thing is sexy looking. Will look great next to my PS3:)
[QUOTE="tomarlyn"]Do Cows really want this feature or are they just trying to stop Lemmings from bragging? Its the last thing on my mindthemyth01If it comes to PS3 they love it, if it's on the 360 alone, they don't care for it, it's irrelevant. That's what I've gathered after watching this thread. But yea, for $50 you can now get features that XLIVE has had for ages. Just like lemmings pay $50 a year for something that PC has done FREE for ages, TEH KIDDAY WII does for free AND the PS3 does for free. PLAY YOUR GAMES ONLINE.
I thought lemmings were all about choice? well PS3 users have the CHOICE of getting PSN+ with XBL you're forced to get it if you want to get the full experience of any game. And with the direction the market is going(STRONG emphasis on Multiplayer), XBL is FORCED on you.
[QUOTE="Swift_Boss_A"][QUOTE="themyth01"] They already are, MS has created 3D without glasses and Sony has added 3D capabilities to PS3. DarkblueNinja3DS is Nintendo not MS. Actually MS did make 3D screen without use of the glass but only 2 people can use it.I think you mean PIONEER made the first 3d screens without glasses, they have a wider viewing angle then 3d tvs with galsses and more then 2 people can watch them. WHy would only 2 people be able to watch anywaysd? that makes NO sense whatsoever. Your tv just knows theres more then 2 people in the room? someone walks by outside your house, looks in the window and your tv and suddenly it shuts off because a third person is looking at it?
MS didn't invent it at all. and they do it by polarizing each individual pixel on the screen.
Also you can get vehicles already that change what picture you're viewing depending on the angle you look at it. so from the drivers seat you see a fully functional navigation system, from the passenger seat you can watch a movie. VERY cool stuff. Did MS invent that too? just cause you just learned about it?
EDIT: just read about MS's new 3d tv tech. They're not the only ones doing it...not even close and other people don't limit the number of people in the room AND they dont need cameras tracking people in the room.
