Another thing is, you can disable your LTP and Printer Port in device manager. It may free up some IRQ allocation.

If you get a Raptor, don't get the 30gb editions. That's just stupid. You'll be uninstalling constantly...

When it asks you for a password and you do not have one, have you tried just clicking through it?

And also, it sounds like you've damaged your system files.

You just need one of these, available at your local BestBuy.

Frying the card. Which has never happened to me. At the most, I'd say you'll see some artifacts on-screen and a few highly purplish colors before you reboot your computer and notice nothing permanent occurred. RivaTuner is a safe way to overclock, and I would GRADUALLY adjust it a bit higher than it already is. DO NOT GAMBLE by jacking the rates way through the roof. Just try RivaTuner 2.06 at guru3d.com, experiment a bit with what you'd like and then test it ingame. If you see artifacts, take both the core and memory clock down about 4Mhz until there are none.

http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3175&p=3 eh it looks very very close to me and you still won't be able to get a good price on one at retail you just got lucky at that conventionmastershake575

Oh I hear you there. I know I got lucky, and for a budget buy that 8800GTS does its job. The 512 is the edition to go with no doubt due to its remanufactured design and pixel pushing force. A higher texture fill rate for games that load background textures off LOD view, are definitely going to see a difference there. I think an Ultra is more suited for fps games due to its memory power house but for streamline games that 8800GTS 512 edition might get n extra 6fps -1tic.

Edit: LAWL at the jackass above me. Go to the link provided and read the stats man. Its redesign model only fills texture rates on the fly faster. It has no other advantages and still lacks in memory bandwidth, which is important for high quality special effects, flares, specular, dynamic lighting, dynamic shading, and pixel seperation.
