My Review of The Dark Knight

I have been waiting for this movie to come out ever since Warner Bros. announced that a Batman Begins sequel was in the works. Now The Dark Knight is in theatres everywhere and I absolutley love it. The movie begins with the Joker's guys robbing a mafia-owned bank and the excitement goes on from there. The basic story throughout the movie is Batman and the GCPD trying to stop The Joker from causing anarchy all over Gotham City. Christian Bale gives a better performance as Batman and Bruce Wayne by showing the toll that being Batman can have to a man. Morgan Freeman also makes his character more emotional and centered while Gary Oldman gives the best performance from all of the supporting cast as Gorden. The only weak acting in the movie came from Maggie Gyllenhal. She came off as to much like Katie Holmes. Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent (and later Two-Face) gives an amazing performance as a guy who's war on crime takes a turn for the worst. In one scene Harvey says to Bruce "you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become a villian" and when Harvey transformes into Two-Face that statement was brought to the front of my mind as I watched his scenes. Eckhart's Two-Face is more real and disturbing than Tommy Lee Jones's Two-Face from Batman Forever. Of course I can't talk about this movie if I don't bring up Heath Ledger's role as The Joker. His performance in this movie is the best one from the entire cast and he all but deserves an Oscar for this role. He made the Joker more psicotic, disturbing, and realistic than Jack Nicholson's Joker from the original 1989 Batman movie. In closing, great acting, a great story, and one of the best villianous performances of the decade makes The Dark Knight one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life.

Go see it and form your own opinion about it. This is just my opinion.

I'm Back!!!!!!!!!

Finally after who knows how long the bug is finally fixed. I haven't been able to log into my account for over a year now but now I can.

Say Goodbye to Current-Gen Games Folks. You'll Never See Them Again.

As the next-gen systems slowly take over our gaming lives we must remember their current-gen  predassesors that were sucsessful back in the day.  The consoles that made their companies enough money to create something new and exciting for us, the consumers.  The Playstation 2 was a huge sucsess in Japan and here making Sony the leading console company of that time.  But buisnesses always want to get the one up on each other so in came Microsoft.  As everyone knew Microsoft's specialty was computer software like Windows so when Microsoft got on the console bandwagon people were questioning weither Microsoft would pull it off.  They did and on November 15, 2001 the Xbox was released with it's most famous hit Halo beside it.  The graphics on their games were great and a few games would be centerpieces for the Xbox like Halo and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.  Of course competition started between Sony and Microsoft and Nintendo executives entered Nintendo into that competition with the Nintendo Gamecube.  While not a visually stunning console Nintendo did manage to revamp some of their franchises from 2D to 3D.  One of the more famous Gamecube franchise game was The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.  With all of the money that we put into these companies and releases of Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo continue their competition to see who has the better console from 2007 till whenever.

2007: Day 1.

Okay, first of all what I got for Christmas and boxing week shopping.

A couple of CD's
The Matrix: Path of Neo
Eragon (the book) and Eldest
speakers for my mp3
and a wireless Xbox controller.

Anyway today on the 1st day of 07 I woke up and was greeted by rain.  Typical this time of year if you live in and around Vancouver.  But as the rain subsided I went out to the nearest Chapters and bought Eragon and Eldest with the gift card I got for Christmas.  Anyway that was how I spent Day 1 of 365.  The rest of the day I sat around and was "forced" to watch HGTV with my mom.
