Sonic 1 on the Sega Master System2 was my favourite when I was a kid, it's not just pressing forward - yeah you can get to the end of the stage like that but chaos emeralds and other hidden objects will be missed! I also really enjoed Sonic RUSH on the DS that was a solid game and of course Sonic Adventure 2:BATTLE on Nintendo Gamecube, others I have played but they just didn't seem as nice to play.

I have a DS lite at the moment and I'm also in the same predicament as you, I think I am going to wait a while until some more games come out for it I looked on Nintendos website yesterday and their current lineup for 3Ds games is quite poor I think (apart from OoT).
MMO games typically work with immersion, when you start playing it you take the role of a character and after a few hours of playing you will want to make it the best you can be. This is why some MMOs are extremely popular, players find themselves not leaving the game until they feel like they have "achieved something" to some people that can be reaching max level others can be maxing out a skill such as cooking/alchemy and such it varies.
I can honestly say I find it impossible to play 2 MMOs at once for this reason, to get anything out of these types of games you literally have to get right in there and understand the game world. (I'm an ex wow player with 4 years of play behind me, tried most other MMOs too ^^)
Of course it isn't racist, that's just like saying it's not right if you won't go out with someone who is really ugly in your opinion. Attraction is different for everybody, you will find a certain look more appealing - if that's a small facial feature or something as big as a different race that doesn't matter.
As a breakfast;
x2 Croissants, slice them in half and fill with soft scrambled egg and thin slices of smoked salmon = heaven. With a cup of tea to go with it of course :P
Tycoon games are very quiet lately, I grew up with them being one of my favourite genres going through all the rollercoaster tycoon series etc.. I haven't heard of any in developement and I've just tried looking for that Zoo one by microsoft somebody mentioned above but I didn't find anything?
My favourites have to be;
RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 & 2 (3 I didn't like)
Zoo Tycoon 1 (2 I didn't like!)
School Tycoon - is short but fun while it lasts.
Prison Tycoon
Ski Resort Tycoon
Theme Park World (PC)
Theme Park INC (PC)
I heard Mall Tycoon was good buy I am yet to try it. I've actually noticed Facebook games seem to be going in the direction of tycoon games, maybe that will get interest in the genre again for a PC developer to make some good games :)
