@asnakeneverdies: CDPR at least has a good track record when it comes to pleasing gamers, unlike companies like EA, Activision and Ubisoft who have built reputations for lazy games and stuffing them with microtransactions. I have faith in CDPR until I see otherwise.
And like I said, this is the MP game, not the actual single player game. So I'm not losing sleep either way.
@wesker010484: That still doesn't change the fact Sony just owns the movie rights and the whole character being exclusive is bullshit. I can understand why the Spider-Man game is exclusive, but to lock content to a platform is incredibly scummy.
@jidenshaotoko: I completely agree. I would like these games to not have microtransactions at all but obviously from the reasons you said it's understandable why they're there. I've bought plenty of games with microtransactions and enjoyed them without paying an extra cent. As long as I feel no incentive to buy them or the game isn't designed to get people to buy them, I'm fine with it.
So it sounds like it has a good story but the gameplay and Multiplayer get repetitive quick. This is a "wait a year for more content" kind of game, especially with how much DLC was announced before launch. And with the whole Spider-Man bullshit, I'll be sure it's a used copy.
It honestly kind of baffles me why anyone would preorder either console right now. Both have pretty weak launch lineups, will have shortages, and we don't even have a price or date yet for when they come. Not to mention the inevitable bugs/system issues they'll have at launch.
