Not saying its true one way or the other, but how does it being an older mode guarantee it is used?

I'm pretty sure its already been published that Microsoft was opening current stock of 360s and putting new heat sinks in them. Who's to say that isn't done at the repair center? Unless the laws are different in France they cannot be selling used systems as new.

I would be pretty suprised if these systems were used.

hmmm.... well actually i'm not so sure about the p4. just looked at some benchmarks. the core 2 duo totally stomps on the pentium-4. a 1.86ghz c2d beats a 3.7ghz pentium4.....wow!!!! that surprised the hell out of me.

hate to break it to you but ur pc is pretty damn anemic. u only have 512mb's of RAM!!!!? ur video card ur going to buy has 512mb's of RAM! u need to bump that up to 1gb at least, preferably 2gb. and ur ram is probably slow also (your RAM is probably DDR rather than DDR2). and ur processor is also meh.....only a Celeron?

u should get a new computer rather than a new card. if u don't have enough money (about $700) then just save up for a pc b/c getting a 8800, 9600 or 3870 is pointless with the weak pc u have now. especially with only 512mb's of RAM....ugh.

my advice, save some money for a new pc and stick with the card u got.

for crysis, depends on the resolution but ur looking at between 25-35fps i think that's for high settings also but check the article.

for u right now, ur memory is the bottleneck totally. can ur motherboard handle ddr2? how fast is the fsb? if ur fsb is only 333mhz then a new mobo with a new cpu (together with faster memory) would make ur 3dmark06 score skyrocket to around 12-14k like that other guy said.

dude, that's pretty sh**y, hate to put it that way but its true. if ur motherboard acts like most than it probably clocks the memory at the lowest speed stick (so ur memory is probably running at just 266mhz).
