There are many different versions of the patch. You're going to want to download the full install rather than 1.07 to 1.08 install.

Also, make sure you're downloading the patch for FEAR, not Fear Combat.

I personally only have Fear Combat, and had the same problem as you. What I was doing wrong, was that I downloaded the 1.08 patch for FEAR rather than the one for Combat.

WW = Superior single player

MP = Superior multiplayer

Or at least I'd like to think.

Never played the original either, will definitely be getting it for the Wii on release.

I'd say in no particular order:

-Wii Sports (might be a basic demo, but we're all still playing it half a year later)

-Zelda

-Resident Evil 4

Well, anyone who's been paying attention to the Wii when it was still the Revolution would remember post like this.

This is yet more of an indication that:

A. Bill Gates is so rich that he is blissfully unaware of anything outside his own company and life :S

B. We're going to see some Wii ripoffs next gen

Yeah, it's worth it at $20, definitely...not so much at $50 like it was, but it's still a good game, I'd buy it if I didn't already have it.

Go watch last weeks On the Spot episode. They play RE4 for the Wii at about 15:44 for a minute, and answer that specific question with a graphic demo of the violence and gore.

Mario Party 8 makes great use of the remote- don't listen to the reviews, it's a good game despite them.

If you're even remotely into the genre, I'd recommend Resident Evil 4 if you haven't played it on the GC or the PS2. One of the best games ever made of its type.

Well, MP3 will be good, RE4 will of course be good. For the ones that are out, I enjoyed CoD3 very much, and thought Red Steel was pretty decent despite reviews.
