@OHGFawx @masterninja9 @Fandango_Letho No. The Wii U is not using friendship codes. Friends list are developed via MiiVerse by Mii username. Not by digit friend codes.
@chase565 @leviathanwing Ummmm.. The title of the article is ".... Wii U 10.00 less than console counterparts". The article is about the Wii U version and not about it's counterparts. It's not the writers fault that the Vita did not get any airplay in this article or any other article for that matter. If you have issue with that, you should take it up with the author or with the publishers here at Gamespot.
I don't care about online multi-player. The $10.00 reduced price is perfect. I will buy this game after Windwaker and Watchdogs (that's if Watchdogs comes out first). :)
I loved ZombiU. I bought the Wii U specifically for this game and I think it was a great 1st launch title. Even though the it got mixed review from the critics. This game brought a tension that I have not experienced in a while. Wonderful game. I am disappointed that Ubi will not do a sequel due to the poor software sales. This one is a hidden gem.
It's good to see the 3DS doing well. I think it finally silenced all those critics from 2 years ago about it being doomed.
This article about how the 3DS only sold 3.4 million units world wide from March to September 2011 is interesting to considering how much the 3DS struggled back then (article posted October 28, 2011):
That's just one article. If one were to google '3DS sales disappointing' and set the search filter back to 2011, you can see how bad things looked for the 3DS and many of the predictions that the 3DS would fail as a successor to the DS series. How times have changed.
I agree that Nintendo and Sony do have differing philosophies regarding handheld gaming. I'm not saying one is better than the other. I am saying that both have a strong belief about how their fan base plays handheld games.
I think the key for Sony is to come out with a strong game library of new games specific to the Vita. Or they could be betting on their consumers being motivated to buy a Vita once the PS 4 comes out because of the ability to play PS 4 games on its handheld while away from home.
That could be a major draw if that's what their fan base wants. Only time will tell with the release of the PS 4 and the first launch titles it brings.
Until then, it seems Nintendo seems to know what their own consumers want when it comes to handheld gaming.
@IrrationalBeast Even on this one minor issue of being able to control Murfy with a button and Ray at the same time, that does not warrant losing one WHOLE point. Another thing. Had the features been somehow 'reversed' and the Wii U had less than the PS 3 or the 360, we would have had a whole different review on how the Wii U is 'once again' short changed by the 3rd party developer by not having a FULLY featured game. Funny how that does not show up even once on here.
I am not saying that he should acknowledge that Wii U one is better, but he gave a fully featured game a score of an 8 compared to the short changed games with a 9 on the account of a button tap and control of the main character is supposedly better than the touch screen use of a single character and motion control features. At least keep the points equal. But knock off a full point over that?
The truth is: He did this because he knew that he would go against the grain on what other reviewers would say and it would spark a controversy on the comment boards. His review gets referenced and 'air play' as a result giving him more readers. I give him a 9 for being clever.
When was the last time this company developed anything for Nintendo?!? They have done nothing for Nintendo, so why should they just suddenly start now?
Weak argument. I love the Elder Scrolls and may continue to buy that series since it is a wonderful series. But to start saying "They never consulted us on what we wanted on the console" is not a very strong argument when your company has not developed anything for Nintendo to begin with.
Just tell the truth. You did the marketing research on Nintendo's consumer base and you've concluded that this consumer base either has a 360 or PS 3 (console as well) and/or there is not enough evidence that this group of consumers would buy and Elder Scrolls game. Why bash a video game company that you've had no real history with?
Just say "We NEVER had that kind of working relationship and at this point we won't be doing anything with them right now."
