waiting makes no sense, MicroBRIBE will just bribe the industry as they do with everything on the planet. So Sony has nothing to lose by announcing and releasing their system first.
just now playing Heavy Rain, it's an ok change of pace for gaming, but in all honesty I hate button sequence gaming... once you get used to it it's ok though just for something different. I'll definitely pick up Beyond just for the story... glad Ellen Page isn't an XBROKE Zombie.
I'm playing the HD collection on Vita and I have a great idea for a possible new control scheme for a patch or a next exclusive MGS Vita game... I'd like to be able to use the rear touch to bring up the first person aiming sites, then you'd just move your finger around on the back to aim accurately, to fire you'd use a second finger to tap, so it would be true multi-touch and work great. I'd aim with my middle finger on my right hand, then tap with my index finger to fire.
if that's all real game play then this game will finally set a new standard for the open world type gameplay, even if it has to load these types of scripted action sequences it might be incredible.
I'd say Sony dominated E3 so far, when they make me want to buy three games via preorder I'd say they had a huge success. I'm buying GOW, Beyond and of course The Last Of Us. I also might buy the white Vita AC bundle and that would be my first AC game purchase, then give my black Vita to my nephew.
multi-player nonsense is pure western PC gaming being rammed down our throats via M$ bribing the press as an excuse to give single player traditional games a bad rap. If you want mindless PC gaming, keep right on buying the same PC games with new graphics over and over, nobody has ever stopped you, leave console gaming to the Japanese. As for the Japanese, grow some balls and get back to believing in your own taste and style of gaming, sure perhaps take a few tips from western games, but maintain some dignity and be yourselves.
I'm sick of PC influenced garbage, shallow, boring, monotonous dreck. Give me some old school RE, Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, RPG goodness... I want a variety of unique gaming engines, not bland Unreal Engine poo poo to slog through.
Wrong, Japanese developers must completely IGNORE what western developers are doing and just go back to making amazingly unique Japanese games once again.
I blame Japanese 3rd Party devs allowing themselves to be bribed by Microsoft... Mikami, talking about Sony recently... he has NO right to talk about Sony in any light, he's done NOTHING for PS3, nothing for PSP, nothing for Vita, nothing but make crap games at dvd level for Microsoft. That's just the gaming division for Sony though, I think they are facing way too much competition from HDTV makers etc, they can't dominate all over the markets so they need to make a more cohesive line of products like Apple. So maybe they are onto something with the One Sony concept if that's what they are planning.
My biggest disappointment is with the Japanese developers, honestly they have done nothing to help Sony with the exception of Hideo Kojima, he's the only one to step up and at least try. MGS4 was a bit of a letdown but Peace Walker was a nice comeback relative to the PSP hardware. I lost so much respect for Japanese developers, watching them take money up front to make dvd level XBROKE games instead of giving us true HD 25GB per disc Blu-ray level games and any intelligent human knows the HD ratio I'm talking about.
If Sony goes down, and out of gaming then I'm done with it completely... The only way I would continue is if all the talent went to Nintendo and they started making more interesting consoles that don't rely on gimmicks and stupid goofy technologies.
blame XBROKE PC BOX dvd player, Microsoft has pushed everything towards online PC BS gaming. No more introspection and thought, just mindless forced social wankerisms.
