Considering NOA will most probably bundle a game with it (Wii U Experiences or Mario), it sounds great.

Kid Icarus multiplayer has some sort of Smash Bros. vibe in 3D. It has chaotic battles, power-ups, items and "out of the platform" deads. It seems Sakurai was preparing himself for bringing 3D battles in the next Super Smash Bros.
I know many won't be happy, specially purists. So, consider Sakurai is a smart developer and will decide to keep 2D stages as well as adding 3D ones.
- Chaotic battles.
- Power-ups and items.
- "Out of the platform" deads.
Dude, this is the first attempt of translating Super Smash Bros. gameplay into 3D environments.
If you haven't watched today's multiplayer video, I recommend you check it up. Multiplayer battles have some sort of Smash Bros. vibe, in 3D.
Since 1st party titles are a given, I will get it. Actual question is when. So, I will get it a few months later after it launches if:
1. Pikmin 3 has plasticine like graphics and it has been released.
2. Initial batch doesn't have too many malfunctions.
3. The range of the controller is good enough to use it at any place in my house.
Every time I hear this track I cannot avoid thinking I've heard part of it in a Metroid Prime game. Specifically at 1:05.
Does it remind you of Metroid Prime? Where in the Trilogy it is heard?

Yeah...personal opinions of random posters on internet forums don't make consoles a "failure". You may personally not like it, but Nintendo, and the rest of the gaming community doesn't care. The only thing Nintendo cares about is selling tons of units. Last time I checked, I believe the Wii sold more than both of its competitors combined.
Not to mention the fact that BOTH competitors put out motion control devices in order to compete with the Wii. It succeeded in basically every way that matters to Nintendo. You can be "personally dissappointed" with the Wii, but that's it.

- "The only thing Nintendo cares about is selling tons of units."
Which Nintendo is currently NOT doing. Nowadays, Wii is selling less than X360 and PS3.
- "Last time I checked, I believe the Wii sold more than both of its competitors combined."
Check again. That's inaccurate.
- "You can be personally disappointed"
I do have Wii games that I enjoy a lot. However, that doesn't mean the initial promise was delivered.
The Wii failed to capitalize on its promise and its potential. While we can argue that the proliferation of motion controls now found on every console, handheld, smartphone and tablet was hastened by the Wii, by and large, the system did NOT do what it initially promised, which is changing the way we play games.charizard1605
I entirely agree.
Sales aside…
Before Wii was released, the gaming world was promised a revolution with the potential to definitely change the way we play games. An arguably innovative input concept was presented and many minds flew all over the possibilities it represented. Five years later, do you really feel the Wii delivered the promised revolution? Is the vast majority of current games motion controlled? The answer seems pretty obvious. Wii failed to truly revolutionize gaming.
Feel free to disagree with an exceptional argument.
