half life 1 supports open gl and direct x.

runs and looks like garbage in direct compared to opengl since it's natively open gl quake 1 engine.

linux is bad

the linux quake servers sucked horseballs back in the day

cryengine 3/unreal engine 4 are all direct x based **** barly anyone on pc side using open gl anymore.
