I'm trying to log onto XBL and get some Rock Band content, but the system logs me in but when it tries to connect me to the marketplace I just see the loading icon and it tells me to try to connect as though I never did in the first place. Anyone else having this issue?
I got the Elite when it first came out. I had a Wii and was suffering from the lack of good "regular" games out there so I broke down and got an Elite from Target. I love it, but I think the HD is starting to go, so I gotta buy a 512 MC to back up my saved games in case the worst happens. Downloadable content can be replaced via a long afternoon, saved games take a bit longer.
When i was trying to defeat RAAM on Insane I was listening to TTFATF on loop. It didn't work at first.. I don't know if it helped me win the match... but me and my gf's brother beat him with the tune playing.
Well all I know is that I was playing GH3 and it was sounding fine then all of a sudden it sounded akward, and then I could never hear from the center channel except in random instances. Also.. if a game has Dolby Digitial, why wouldn't it utilize that center channel whenever it could?
I have my 360 hooked up to a Samsung HT-X40 Optical Input, and for some reason today the in game Dolby Digital stopped working. Well not completely, but the center channel stopped outputting sound, or it does it VERY sporadicly. I tried it with GH3 and Halo 3 and it works for like 10 seconds and then the center speaker goes dead. I don't think the problem is with the Samsung because it plays fine with DVDs, and also when I play movies on my 360 (Downloaded ones, not DVDs) the center channel works as well. Does anyone know why the in game DD would suddenly just stop working? All the other channels work fine but the center channel just dies. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I don't want to send my 360 into MS yet. I still have the 1 year warranty (since last I checked the 3 year only applies to RROD errors.) Has anyone else had problems with the center channel just not working?
I've only played Halo 3. From what I've read.. if you like Multiplayer and have a gold account, get H3. From the reviews I've read (and from what I'm getting for Xmas) I would recommend Mass Effect over Assassins Creed, assuming you like long adventures. If you don't like RPG style games then I guess AC would be the best choice.

I almost crapped myself today. I went to play GH3, and when the console was ejecting to let me put the disc in, it got stuck and the 3 rings came on. I was so worried, but I went and unplugged the console, pushed the tray back in, rebooted, and right now I'm working on DragonForce.
I think you'll be fine.. especially wiht the new 3 year warranty on specifically that problem.
