Well WTF? SHouldn't MS then tell all these companies to stop making products that are breaking boxes and voiding their warranties? Quite frankly if I was put in taht situation I would still yell and complain to MS everyday until they fixed my thing just to shut me up. Too bad MS won't just fess up and start selling new cooling equipment.

I bet it's bioshock becuz I have an elite and during certain points in bioshock it like lags a bit...and I heard that was a problem....other games work fine

I posted something abotu Bioshock acting up yesterday. What is up with this Unreal 3 engine? Is it just me or does it not seem like its where it should be? I mean for it to be messing up on such high profile games seems a little off to me..

AHAH here it is. It's made by XSATA, whoever they are. XSATA msjr78

While that does look intriguing.. what I was referring to was copying all my saved games to a MEMORY CARD. For whatever reason it seems harder than it should be from what I tried, and also considering some stuff just wouldn't copy over to it made me wonder if there was another way I was "supposed" to be doing it.

You're on your FIFTH 360? I mean.. I've only had my elite for a few months, but there has to be SOMETHING in your configuration that is messing up all your boxes. One breaking is just a fluke. Two breaking is tough luck. Three breaking... something has to be up. Maybe if its your basement there's some sort of a moisture issue? Maybe there's something up with your power supply and you're getting extra surges or something. I'd say you look more into that before you have to throw down for ANOTHER 360..

I have an Elite, so storage space is not an issue. However, anyone who knows computers knows that you need to constantly back up your data in case the worst happens. Of course.. the 360's HD is not exactly a standard setup like the PS3, so I can't just hook up another IDE/SATA cable and drag stuff to my computer. I'm not worried about backing up my media stuff since that stays linked to my account, but I'm more worried about backing up my saved games and profiles. I tried manually copying stuff from the HD to my memory card, but some stuff was denied and I couldn't always find the saved games to everything. Is there any software or other methods I Could use to back up all my saved games easily?

Dunno what you're talking about. I played a few FFA matches and lag wasn't an issue for me. I got killed numerous times for legit reasons. ;p

I've used 720 and 1080 (p and i) and I really can't notice much of a difference. Thing is the way they both shine is off of fast action, and I have yet to play a game where the action is so quick that it makes a difference. I mean its not like Fox NFL 720p versus NBC NFL 1080i; games I've played like GOW and Bioshock just dont' move fast enough to show a difference. And I've had on 2 different HDTVs (36" and 62") and I'm still satisfied with both.

I wonder though if there can be issues if your machine has some loading issues.. I mean it may go and go from low res to high res as you approach stuff, but I wonder if it runs into issues with non-pristine 360's. I mean that GOW issue I had wiht the cutscenes came up after using my 360 for quite a while (hey, when you try to get the "Domination" achievement with a noob, you need some patience), so I wonder how the engine reacts to not having peak performance.

My tv plays in 720p and 1080i really well and honestly.. i cant tell any difference between the two. very very sligth differencekozzy1234
I mean, when it comes to TV stuff.. there's a HUGE difference between watching NFL football on Fox in 720p versus NBC in 1080i. I can't stand seeing all the digital blocks and crap with the 1080i, and the 720 just looks so much cleaner, but I'm not sure how this translates into HD stuff.
